NCAA banning Native American mascots in post season

The name says it all!

Well at least the NCAA is sensible enough to go on a case by case basis and consider the relationship with the tribes (for the most part) in question instead of going ahead with the one-size-fits-all outright ban.

I'm sure this has nothing to do with how much money FSU generates.

He may be right in a way, because the bigger name schools generate a lot of money for the NCAA. But we will see how much influence that has for each individual school going on a case by case basis. In other words if the Utes have a very similar situation to FSU's, yet get banned from using the Utes as a mascot, then we'll know it's all about the dough.
