Re: nation's #1 recruit to announce today
i believe he will choose either FSU, Pitt or Psu because Pitt with wanny has had an unbelievabe recruting run , Penn state with joe pa who is a coaching legend, and of course the all time winningest coach bobby bowden who keeps producing great nfl players such as warrick dunn
maybe there is a college that is lurking to sign him i dont know

If Anthony Morelli is as dumb as you all claim, and he sucks as bad as you all claim, why did you Pitt bozos make such a stink when he went to Penn State? Also, why even mention it now? Wasn't it a blessing in disguise? You should be happy he didn't go to pitt, right? Please, please for the sake of your credibility, at least try to disguise the fact that you Pitt fans are the biggest hypocrites this side of the Republican garbage that gets spewed in the Politics forum.
Analyst, just got done hanging out with Percy Harvin. Told me Pitt is #1 on his list because all the stars are aligned in Pitt's administration. We both know that it's because of the head coach getting along with the school administration that really wins football games. It has nothing to do with actually playing.
Funny also how I see no one defending Walt Harris anymore. I thought he was the best coach in the world? Are you all gonna rally around the Greatest College Football Player of All Time Tony Dorsett again when Wanny only wins 8 games a year? Because you will only win 8 or 9, folks.
You know what else is funny? How many times Wanny turned down Pitt, and how Pitt welcomed that bum like a needy ex-girlfriend as soon as Wanny knew his pro career was very over. Get some pride!!!

TAE,
You remind me of the snotty, smart-mouthed little know-it-all who never laced them up, but always has an answer for everything. If you could just quit being controversial and challenging every single Pitt post on here, you might actually gain some respect from other posters. Why don't you actually read a post and learn something for a change. Boilerman and Hilltoppanther just tried to give a little history of the Pitt program over the past 3 decades. Take the chip off your shoulder, the stick out of your behind, and the splinter out of your big-toe and grow up a bit.
Anyone that has ever been involved with sports understands that success is much more achievable if everyone is on the same page. The coaches need the support of the administration or it is going to be an uphill battle.
OK TAE, time for your 3rd grade response.

Wannstedt did turn down Pitt in the past. He did because of the same reasons I stated above. He knew that the administration didn't fully support the program. The facilities were an absolute joke and he knew it would be a struggle.
When Wannstedt was offered the job in December, he originally turned it down because he admittedly was caught off-guard. He told Pitt to move on and find someone else. In the meantime, he called some former NFL coaches who are now head coaches at the collegiate level to get advice. He called Pete Carroll, Al Groh, and Chan Gailey. After those conversations, he called Pitt A.D. Jeff Long to talk about the job.
I await TAE's adult response.

I can't believe this kid didn't want to go to Penn St. with that great Offense and flashy style of play!! He is in their backyard in NJ! Wow those sneaky Seminoles!!

And don't forget, after Wannstedt left the Dolphins, he was weighing the opportunity of being a TV commentator and colorman in the broadcast booth. It was tough for him to decide if his future should involve TV or coaching.

Let's not take things too seriously here, Heaven and Hoops. As for immaturity, I think my paragraph about Morelli deserves a response. So do the other 25 questions I asked in that post.
As for Wanny as a broadcaster, I wish i could say it wouldn't happen. First, he's ugly as sin, but so is Phil Simms and John Madden. Second, I wish I could his credibility would never get him a job, but then there's Sean Salisbury and John Clayton. Even that approaching-child-molestor-status moustach is acceptable. Ditka has that moustach too and he does some shows. Funny how they both went to Pitt.
