TCU giving Oklahoma a rough time early on...

The Sooners haven't been able to get anything going, and their defense can't seem to stop Mr. Gunn.

Very Interesting game here! Looks like TCU is playing well and Oklahoma has some question marks!

And an upset it is! TCU 17, Oklahoma 10. Apparently the Horned Frogs stopped Adrian Peterson early and often (22 for 63 yards) and forced the two new QBs to try and beat them. It didn't work. The Sooners turned over the ball a lot, which essentially killed them. They might have been able to beat TCU 24-10 if they hadn't had all those turnovers. But nonetheless, the game is done, and a top ten team isn't supposed to be that bad. Apparently Oklahoma was a bit overrated and looked past the underrated TCU team. So could TCU be this year's Utah? And will Oklahoma rebound from this humiliating loss?

TCU is not this year's Utah. TCU usually has a pretty solid defense. That defense showed up Saturday, and they encountered an OU team that is very, very depleted. If I'm Adrian Peterson, I'm already looking for an agent. That kid is gonna get banged up all year.

Gotta agree with Tev Alberts, and I'm sure many of you do as well. There is no reason why we have rankings right now. It's bull, yo. Too many teams get ranked based on previous performances. Alberts didn't go this far, but I will say that the only reason there are rankings right now is so people watch these games. #5 vs. #20 means two of the best teams in the nation are squaring off. It's all about that money.

You might be right about the rankings, TAE. There's no real way to tell how good or bad a team will be this early in the season.

But TCU is going to be a very solid team this year, and may yet again bust the BCS. They already have the mandatory win over a major conference power (Oklahoma), that was, admittedly, probably caught off guard more than anything else, but you'd still think they'd be able to catch up once they realized they were down. I'd also dare say that if they can beat Oklahoma, they can beat anybody remaining on their schedule (provided they play their A game), including tough in conference foes Utah and Wyoming. We will see....
