Congrats to Turk and Larod on their opening weeks...

Both local freshmen saw playing time for their respective programs. Larod had 2 carries later in the game for 17 yards, and Turkovich played some OL for the Irish. Currently Turk is listed as the 2nd team left tackle...very impressive for a true freshman.

Yes congrats. Larod looked tough and very willing to do anything for Pittsburgh!

LaRod so far, scored Pitt's lone touchdown, returning the opening kickoff 95 yards to paydirt. Way to go! He may see more playing time this season if he continues strong on special teams.
