Eddie, I wasn't making excuses; Bedford clearly got outplayed and basically, like someone else said, manhandled.

According to this morning's Gazette, Harris had 7 carries for 2 yards and Marshall had 2 for 15. Those stats show 2 things. First, that they aren't getting enough touches. Secondly, it shows that the plays they do give the ball to Harris go for minimal yardage because he's not a fullback and shouldn't be carrying it up the gut.

"Bishop McCort didn't particularly impress me; they just did enough to take advantage of the poor Bedford playcalling and mistakes. "

that's amking excuses...Bedford was outplayed period...no matter if the play calling was bad or not...their line was dominated and that's where the game is won

I don't think anyone can disagree with that. BM deserved to win the game no doubt about it. But Bedford helped them out alot to.

The point about Harris being misused at fullback seems sound, but I'm sure the decision, right or wrong, was made for the team's benefit. I would hope that coaches make choices with the intent of helping the team, not to impress potential colleges.

the point is this offense sucks, pop warner ran this stuff when he was winning games at Rutgers, they need to use the talent or losses will continue to mount cuz the wishbone and flexbone just tells your opponets we cant match up with you so we run this to try to hang around and control the clock!

If Harris plays in college, it will probably be as a DB. But he is not a fullback. Apparently they have no one else who can play fullback.

Can someone explain this? I too questioned the 52 yard field goal, until they brought the ball out to the 20 for BM. Does a field goal attempt that reaches the endzone count as a touchback, or do all field goal attempts get brought out to the 20? So basically, maybe they get lucky and get 3 points, but if not it's the same as punting the ball in the endzone, so I can understand that.

BM has a good team and has a good shot at winning the conference, but they always seem to choke somewhere along the way. Maybe this is their year to get past all of that. Bedford's two fumbled pitches in McCort territory killed any chance they had to stay in that game. BM does what good teams do and took advantage of it.
