Thoughts on LHAC after two weeks of action
Johnstown The men of troy have surprised us all and flat out played terrible. I ended up going to the BM game because i had no faith in the Trojans. Anyways, i feel that the line is playing awful and the big playmakers besides Xavier are not producing (because of bad line play) Tro will be LUCKY to have a .500 season.
Bishop McCortYes i know i am a fan of the Crushers but without any bias i believe they are in the top three teams. Line play has taken over the oast two games. They also have good balance on both sides of the ball. Big week four coming up will tell us a lot of what we need to know.
Bishop CarrolNew offense and some big playmakers. I haven't watched a game yet but they seem to be one of the best in the LHAC as usual. Another team in the top 3.
SomersetNeed some time to get a winning attitude. Two games with no points spells problems. They are still yet to play BM, BC and i'm not sure if they play FH or not. Definatley a one or two win season.
WestmontTheir first two games have totally shown two different sides of this team. In week one they showed resilience as they stayed in the game with bedford, even though bedford could have put the game away or atleast put the game to within seven. But week two showed sloppy, sloppy play. No One came to play in that game an that's for sure. Another thing that worries me is their line play. No depth whatsoever.
RichlandDecent improvement is the highest compliment they will get from me. The offense in week one was nothing special. Forest Hills handled them on the line. Once again line play is huge for this team. I haven't seen too much beef upfront. Specialists played well and Pecora s a good leader. Better season than as of late for Richland.
Forest HillsNow I know I come off on moldo and pale as being a total FH hater but deep down i think otherwise. They are one of the top 3 teams after two weeks of play. But This isn't the same kind of team that we've been accustomed to watching. The POWER runing isn't there and the line play is not dominating. The defense is what has impressed me the most besides Rearick's leadership. No matter how we look at it this is a different kind of FH team. I'm still not sure what to think of them, they are a good team but upcoming games should show us if FH's line can dominate
CCNot half as bad as i thought they would be this year. They are very physical. Line play is good and they should continue to have a good season. Quarterback is a major concern however as the passing in week one was terrible. They will not be able to run against the top teams.
PCFetzer and two wins in a row have given life to the program, but let's look at these two teams they beat. Somerset which is yet to score a pint this year and has given up 30+ points per game. and Johnstown which will be lucky to win 4 games this year. Their scrimmage against BM was awful as they didn;t get a firs down. So, "Penn Cambria Football is not back" but they are definately not going to be at the bottom of the standings this year.
HeightsSeemed to have played tough the first two games. Haven't seen or heard anything else about them. Usual CH season.
CentralNothing to be happy about. They thought they had somthing after the close call against Jtown but we all know Jtown doesnt play like the defending district AAA champs. and BC seemed to be able to do whatever it wanted this past weekend.
anyone else have views?

Re: Thoughts on LHAC after two weeks of action
Personally I think that BM will be the top dog in the LH this year. The first halves of their games havent been the prettiest but I tell you what when they start clicking it is pretty scary. Their D is dominant in both the running and passing game for sure. On O, their line is playing better and their specialists are well, special. I havent seen or heard much about BC other then who else, Forcellini. I think if you stop him, you stop the team. But, im not sure who can live up to that challenge. And finally forest hills, they are a physical defensive team but i dont see them being the teams they were in the past. I think that is how the LH will finish this year up to this point, i will say otherwise after week 4 in the big BM BC matchup.
Re: Thoughts on LHAC after two weeks of action
BC started with CH and Central. C'mon, how can you tell anything from that? And again, power running at FH is new to me. Defensive line play must be O.K., giving up only 1 TD in 2 games. Must mean something, right?
coming from what u said about BC....look who you played...but maybe your guys did destroy westmonts line i wasn't there to see it. i have respect for your line i just want to see them against a team like CC who has physical line..then we will see how good or bad their line is based on their performance....playing bedford this week..FH should handle bedford upfront with ease
Fan of the Men of Troy and the Crushers until Week 7
Re: Thoughts on LHAC after two weeks of action
Being physical means NOTHING!!!! It's all in the technique. Ask any line coach. Just because your line is made up of big galoots, doesn't translate into good line play.
Re: Thoughts on LHAC after two weeks of action
By the way, most posters on here would rate Richland and Westmont MORE of a challenge than Central and Cambria Heights. So again, it's TOO early to judge BC on who they have played up til now!!! Judge FH any way you want. It'll all come out in the wash.

Nice try PCfan06 but your numbers don't add up. Adding up your columns (bored) there are 53 wins and 55 losses.

Hey EGeorge: Johnstown has 2 legitimate D-I kids playing on their line. Big kids too. Can't get more physical than that. How come they just lost to PC and BARELY beat Central at home. It's technique baby.
