Truth to the Rumor?`
Re: Truth to the Rumor?`
A person is allowed to move in the middle of a term, no PIAA rule can stop that...The change just cannot be for athletic reasons...
Re: Truth to the Rumor?`
I don't doubt for a second that Miller is having some personal issues and moved for that reason, but how can they prove that he didn't change schools for athletic purposes?
The important thing is this, to be willing to sacrifice at any time what you are, for what you could become.

In order for this individual to be eligible for athletics at North Star, a number of things need to happen.
First, this individual will not be immediately eligible unless he moved into the district with a parent/legal guardian. Moving in with a relative will hold up his ability to play until the transfer and residence are approved by the D5 committee.
Second, both schools' principals (exiting and receiving) will need to sign off on the transfer - unless he actually did quit. In this case, it will be North Star's decision on whether or not to accept him for athletics. Obviously, they have already taken him in as a student (they have no choice).
Finally, and this is in reference to a question of whether or not it can be ruled a transfer based on athletic intent - who in the heck would leave a (2-0) Berlin team to play for a (1-1) North Star team??
All of this aside, how quickly will an outsider pick up the new offensive and defensive schemes and more importantly, will he be accepted by the rest of his new team?

i agree with your last paragraph until you get to the part where it says about the rest of the players accepting him...you have to think about this, miller might be a kid who takes them from a 4 - 5 season to a 6 - 3. i bet they'd take him with open arms.
