Happy Valley with 7 wins by the Nits in a row. I read that today, and it brought a smile to my face.

Yes, that'll end soon. They will lose within their next two games. They've beaten teams up in the second half of their past two games or they would've lost. I think it'll happen either by ND or Cal. It should be interesting. They better come out and play the whole game against those teams or they'll be undefeated no more.

USC has Zona this weekend and is favored by like 36 points. Then they play the Irish, who have a bye week that allows Coach Charlie some time to design an offensive scheme that will put up 35+ on the Trojans. The problem is that I don't think that ND will be able to stop SC at all...

I may not like deliverence's PSU bashing, but he is actually having some intelligent thoughts regarding USC. If USC comes out flat in the first half against Notre Dame, Weis will figure out how to take advantage of that and take a big half time lead into the lockerroom. If he can do that, ND's defense sucks, but if they can generate any offense at all in the second half, they just might be able to hold off USC's comeback attempt. Either way, it's going to be a shootout. There will be an O/U of at least 70 points for this game. But if USC doesn't come to play until the second half, it may be too late. If anybody can figure out how to score on USC's defense (when they're playing well), it would be Weis. His Pats hung 41 on the nation's best defense in the AFC championship last year. If he can figure out the Steelers, he can figure out the Trojans.
