I might sound like WPIAL Titan now, but why don't we just give Tyrone the D6 Championship trophy NOW? Sure there is the excitement of the games leading up to it, but lets get real.

No doubt about it!! Tyrone is the class of the district 5-6 field. This HS football and anything can happen. If BM can put a run together in the playoffs I believe they are very dangerous. I don't really see anyone else being a serious threat to Tyrone though.

What does anyone think about the situation in D6 A. BC, Blairsville and Portage are all undefeated as of today (10/11). teams like BA and United are teams that fight to win tough games, especially the defending champs. So how's this going to shake out?

I think a team from Bedford County might have something to say about that. Besides the fact that you have to get there first, this is all just speculation at this point.

I hope in same way shape or form that Ridge finishes 8-1 and FH manages to beat Bishop McCort. Bedford will finish 7-2. OOOOOOH THE POSSIBILITIES!!!

I actually disagree with just giving Tyrone the title this year. I would agree that they are the team to beat (as always) in D6, but they are not going to breeze through the District playoffs like they have the regular season.

I think their conference this year overall is weaker then usual. I mean come on, you are talking about their toughest team being Bellfonte? The same Bellfonte team that got spanked by Johnstown last year in the AAA championship. I realize that Bellfonte had just about every returning, but does that make them that much of a powerhouse when they were a 5-4 (I believe) regular seaon team last year, and they were undefeated heading into last weekend.

I think there are a number of teams that would be able to give Tyrone all they can handle in a game. The way things are falling it looks as if either Bedford, McCort, or Forest Hills is going to get the first shot in Round 2 at the Eagles.

BTW...Ridge vs. FH or Bedford round 1...that will be the most fun week on Bleachercoaches EVER!
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

I was just reading the A playoff standings in the paper and this week is a huge game for Bellwood. There are 8 teams right now with 1 loss or less and three more with only 2. A loss to CR at the very best puts Bellwood on the road in the first round of the playoffs.

Where does Ridge fit in with two losses? Just asking hypothetically here. I think MoValley will give them a very tough game and they may be fighting for a playoff spot themselves.

2 losses would put them at 7 or 8. It could possibly put them out altogether. A 6 win team from the LHAC could possibly sneak in. But most likely they would still get in with 2 losses. CC with four losses already wouldn't be able to get ahead of them. The last two spots would be up for grabs among 3 teams. CR, Purchase Line and Marion Center.
