P.I.A.A. Football Rankings.....

Two teams still have games scheduled for Monday night...here are the top "5" rankings to date.

The P.I.A.A. Top Five:

Class (AAAA)

1. North Penn (6-0): Plays Monday night!

2. Pittsburgh Central Catholic (7-1): Slow start….strong finish against Norwin.

3. Bishop McDevitt – Harrisburg (7-0): Two games in 6 days…no problem as they crush Altoona 43-6!!

4. North Hills (7-1): Knocked off Bethel Park to win WPIAL’s Quad North Conference!

5. Conestoga (7-0): Must get by the likes of Neshaminy and North Penn in District playoffs!

Class (AAA)

1. Thomas Jefferson (8-0): Defense leads the way as Jags use third string QB to get by Chartiers Valley 17-3!

2. Hampton (7-1): Another six touchdown night!

3. Wyoming Area (5-1): Plays Monday night!

4. Manheim Central (6-1): Puts up 59 on Central Mountain!

5. West Mifflin (8-0): Takes on TJ Friday night in WPIAL battle of unbeatens!

Class (AA)

1. South Park (8-0): Takes on toughest opponent to date Friday when they host South Fayette.

2. Northern Lehigh (7-0): Knocked off Saucon Valley 28-6.

3. Greensburg Central Catholic (7-0): Another 40 point performance and a shutout in week 8!

4. Tyrone (7-0): Looking for some competition in District 6…any takers?

5. Montoursville (7-0): Why they were playing a .500 Class A team is beyond me!

Class (A)

1. Rochester (8-0): Battle for the bridge in week nine will be laugher!

2. Duquesne (7-0): Should be the #2 seed in WPIAL playoffs!

3. Bishop Carroll (7-0): Beat class AAA Somerset, 21-7.

4. Southern Columbia (5-2): Back to playing Class A teams…and winning as expected!

5. Schuylkill Haven (7-0): In top 5 for first time in 2005!
