Post by El-Moldo »

Hot off of Postgazette.com: Penn State freshman wide receiver Derrick Williams will miss the rest of the season with a broken left arm which may require surgery. He will be sidelined 3-4 months according to the teams physician.

After Paul Cronin got dismissed from the team, it's gonna be tough to eliminate King from the defense.

J. King was also brought in to play offense. He's played there this year, he'll play there again in the weeks to come.

Why can't he play both ways? Or is that ability reserved for Ohio State players?

99.9% of all college players either play offense or defense. Why should he be playing both, with a roster of over 100 guys?

Because he has the ability. He has been only playing around 10 plays or so on offense anyway and his defensive time has increased. He may get a little more time but with the other recievers stepping it up, he shouldn't have to. Until this past weekend, Butler has had more catches. Norwood gets his share. It is definately a loss, but it could be much worse.

That kid needs a lot of work as a DB. He watches his man and never sees the ball. UM wanted that fade route over King, and didn't have the room for it. That's why it went over the middle. You KNOW that was what they wanted to run.

He does need a lot of work, but for a true freshmen he hasn't played that badly. Sure, he got burnt on the touchdown but he was in on quite a few passbreak ups and has tackled pretty well. He does need work, but i think he will be fine.
