i am completely unbiased in this situation since i dislike both teams evenly. i want to know how reggie bush could push matt leinart into the endzone after initially being stopped at the line. im pretty sure that is not legal. i have heard people hailing bush for doing that. im not hating on him as a player b/c i think he will end up winning the heisman, but that doesn't make that final play legit. also, the grass is a non issue in my mind. homefield advantage is just that.

i believe the ruling on that is you're allowed to push a "pile" however you can't push a single person, didn't really see the play in detail, but that's the ruling on it i believe

USC proved why they're still #1 in the nation. They beat one of the best teams in the nation in Notre Dame. That's a tough task to do, especially at Notre Dame. That play at the end of the game was crazy. Bush saved the day again. He's the most talented back in college football. He's unstoppable. If the 'Horns get in the championship game against USC, they better find a way to contain that guy to under 100 yards. He can flat out run and break tackles.

TAE, do you think USC would purposely 'forget' to cut the grass if they were in Notre Dame's situation? It's called home field advantage for a reason. I think USC would do the same thing under the same circumstances.

It does not matter what I think about USC. This is not the first time Notre Dame has trying to get a "home field advantage" over a fast team.

AUSTIN 22:22 you are exactly right, the rule is actually there that you can't do it, but that is one of those rules that would NEVER be called and if it would I don't know what would happen. It happens on almost every QB sneak that gets stuffed initially. the QB is stuck on the o-line and not getting any push and the rb's come up and smash him into the endzone, technically it's illegal, but don't ever look for it to be called.

Pushing the guy in the endzone is illegal but it will never be called in a game...especially by the Pac-10 officials when their best team is about to be beat...ND lost the game when they gave up a bomb on 4th and 9
