i was happy with how wilkens called most of the game but he still is the worst coach ever!! i wish he would just leave chestnut ridge forever. no1 likes him. everyone on the football team talks about him and his stupid coaches he has. besides all of those runs up the middle. just max doesnt look to throw the ball to anyone but sasha. the one ball he overthrew sasha and Mike caught it and ran for a td. and some of that is the coaches fault for not telling max to throw the ball to other people, because at practice he tells him if sasha isnt open throw the ball away. by the way Tom Iagulli offered his assistance to wilkens a few years ago and wilkens said he didnt need anymore coaches... then he goes and gets these jacka$$e$. also Mr. Daniel a former Forest Hills qb who went to the state championship wanted to be the weight training coach for ridge and wilkens told him no. just to let everyone know how stupid wilkens is
Here's something interesting.
Went to the Bellwood/Ridge jv game in Bellwood tonight. (Ridge lost 14-6. Good hardhitting game. The Lions were mildly homered, but you'll have that.) Anyway, some of the Ridge parents who got to the game early said that the Bellwood varsity was on the practice field going at it in full pads. Said it even looked like they were going live! Now this is on a Monday, following a big Blue Devil victory over a previously undefeated team.
No complacency from these guys.
By the way, I talked to coach Hayes a few minutes at halftime and he was very complimentary of the Lions and their coaches and their efforts.
Losing is ugly and sickening, but sometimes we need to be reminded of the positives.

Come on foggy, that really doesn't hold a lot of water.
I'm going to keep my opinions of Wilkins to myself, but another coach is not going to say anything negative about his peer across the field, whether it's before, during, or after the game.

Re: Bellwood @ Ridge
Seems like a lot of negativity towards Wilkens. Is this due to the loss and everybody's second guessing or is he really that disliked around the team?
