"Good news should be coming for Penn State"

Welcome to a new feature here at Rivals.com, one that fans should enjoy and should lead to plenty of message board banter. It's called Farrell's Forecast where yours truly will attempt to predict where high school football recruits are going to college. While I could be wrong as often as I'm right, I'm certainly not afraid to take the inevitable hit when I forecast incorrectly. Luckily, my first two predictions look pretty easy and good news should be coming for Penn State.

Rivals is advertising a free 7 day account, since the site is an outrageous 10 bucks a month. Okay, maybe not "outrageous", but certainly retarded. Here's the best thing about Rivals and their 7 day trial: You can't sign up for it unless you pay for a month. That's right, "Free Trial" for 10 bucks. This is like the time a woman at a bank told me I could get a free checking account. I said okay. Then she said "Okay, it's going to be 24.99 for the start-up fee." This also reminds me of one time at Liberty Park when the owner's wife didn't realize she was selling free samples of pizza for 25 cents. Anyways, if Coach or anyone has a subscription to the site, please post the article or any info you have on this. I have my guess as to who it is, but I don't wanna jinx it. Let me know if you hear anything.

The good news has arrived. JoePa has died of a heart attack early this morning after reviewing tapes of the Michigan game. Lloyd Carr will now be stepping down from Michigan to go to PSU.

even better news....12000 actually showed up at the Pitt-SF game this weekend. 8000 made the trip up from Florida, the other 4000 were people from Pittsburgh who had nothing else to do and were given free tickets and food.

Even better news, Texas is #2 in the BCS and STILL undefeated. How 'bout it, Coach? Pitt is still alright. I do believe they still have the same number of conference losses as PSU. Am I correct there?

Yeah...I hope hey make the BCS again. Beat Louisville and WVU and the football world will puke!

I agree with you there. It would be ugly. However, that's how it goes. Pitt still has a shot at a BCS game just like your beloved PSU. So, I wouldn't go too far out there on ripping on Pitt. Just remember, it's not how you start, it's how you finish.
