Week 8 Picks
Ohio State vs. Indiana:
==================
- OSU thunders ahead to that big UM game. Unfortunately, the Hoosiers lose again.
Northwestern vs. Michigan State:
=========================
- I really think Northwestern wins this game. NW is way better than people think. However, I am taking MSU simply because it looks better for Penn State when they beat MSU at the end of the season. Wishes come true sometimes, right?
Virginia vs. North Carolina:
===================
- Big confidence boost last week prime for a big letdown this week? Gonna be close. Cavs by 2.
Syracuse vs. Pittsburgh:
===================
- Cuse are still looking for their first yard of offense this season. Even H.B. Blades may have a tackle this week. Pitt by 8. Isn't it funny how PSU was ridiculed for playing 12 o'clock games?
Louisville vs. Cincinnati:
==================
- Big hose-job last week in Morgantown. Cards rebound.
Michigan vs. Iowa:
==============
- This is when Ferentz's teams peak. Give me the Hawks at home, while a sporadic UM team tries to find the answers before OSU.
Arkansas vs. Georgia:
=================
- UGA by 16.
Nebraska vs. Missouri:
=================
- Still a horrible team playing home games in Columbia, folks. Nebraska by 11.
Temple vs. Clemson:
=================
- Even Tommy Bowden can squeak out a win against out Owls.
Northern Illinois vs. Kent State:
========================
- No Illy has no trouble with the Hummingbirds.
BYU vs. Notre Dame:
=================
- Bet the grass is short this week. I'll also bet ND jumps into #1 in the BCS after the stink that was raised about them being 16th.
Oklahoma State vs. Iowa State:
========================
- Deliverance's two national title contenders go head to head!!!! Who will be victorious? ISU wins because the only Big 12 team worse than them is Oklahoma State.
Kentucky vs. Mississippi:
=====================
- Too bad we don't get to see the UK blue's this week. Give me Ole Miss by 10.
Ball State vs. Ohio:
==============
- Tough call in the MAC. Ohio by 3.
Texas A&M vs. Kansas State:
========================
- Bill Snyder's team really that bad? Yes.
Houston vs. Mississippi State:
=========================
- I'll call this upset. Houston can score from anywhere on the field, and MSU couldn't stop my grandmother from baking banana nut-bread.
Wyoming vs. Colorado State:
=======================
- Give me the Cowboys on the road.
Rutgers vs. UCONN:
===================
- Big East pillow-fight of the week. Rutgers by 1.
SMU vs. Tulsa:
=============
- Give me the Hurricanes at home.
TCU vs. Air Force:
================
- AFA is too inconsistent, yet again. TCU by 19.
Florida State vs. Duke:
===================
- Big rebound blow-out for the Seminoles.
NC State vs. Wake Forest:
======================
- I'd guess Amato sees the writing on the wall. They need to win this game. NCSU by 15.
East Carolina vs. Memphis:
=====================
- I refuse to pick a team coached by Spanky Holtz.
Texas Tech vs. Texas:
==================
- Although the Tech defense gets better every year, they are not quite there yet. They can win a shootout, though. But... gotta take Texas.
USC vs. Washington:
=================
- Hasn't Willingham had enough of USC yet? Trojans by 50.
Purdue vs. Wisconsin:
===================
- Cannot trust Joe Tiller. Wisconsin by 14. PSU needs Wisconsin to win this game.
Tennessee vs. Alabama:
===================
- On the road, in a VERY hostile environment, Tennessee ruins Alabama's season.
Vanderbilt vs. South Carolina:
======================
- USC wins by 10.
Western Michigan vs. Bowling Green:
=============================
- Greenies win again.
North Texas vs. Louisiana Tech:
=========================
- Another debacle. Tech by 25.
Arizona State vs. Stanford:
======================
- ASU by 5.
Fresno State vs. Idaho:
==================
- Definitely hate Pat Hill, but they'll win this one.
LA Lafayette vs. Middle Tennessee State:
================================
- MTSU somehow wins again.
Hawaii vs. San Jose State:
====================
- Warriors on the road.
Navy vs. Rice:
============
- Is Rice really going DEFEATED this year? Looks that way.
Army vs. Akron:
=============
- At the Rubber Bowl, give me the Zips.
Miami Ohio vs. Eastern Michigan:
=========================
- MoHo wins a tough road contest.
Boise State vs. Utah State:
====================
- Boise by 27. Let's get it together, Hawkins.
Oregon vs. Arizona:
===============
- Ducks are set to unveil camo uni's and an asswhipin' on the Wildcats.
Oregon State vs. UCLA:
====================
- Bruins remain unbeaten again.
Kansas vs. Colorado:
==================
- Some people might say that Mark Mangino has a little bit of a weight problem. His team has about 70 problems. Rape U. by 17.
Baylor vs. Oklahoma:
================
- Can they pull off the upset???? YES!!!! Sooners by 6!!!!
Penn State vs. Illinois:
==================
- Lions need a good showing, and no one is dumber than Ron Zook, so hopefully Morelli will get some snaps.
Florida Atlantic vs. Arkansas State:
============================
- Give me my Indians again. Love those home uni's.
Utah vs. UNLV:
=============
- Utah but I'm taller. Utes by 20.
Buffalo vs. Toledo:
==============
- Everyone tune in to see the best I-A team in the state of New York get crushed by the Rockets.
Auburn vs. LSU:
==============
- 2 big SEC battles today and 2 big upsets. Auburn.
Marshall vs. UTEP:
================
- Miners by a dozen.
New Mexico vs. San Diego State:
=========================
- I haven't had my mind right about New Mexico in 4 seasons. Hell, give me the Lobos.
Washington State vs. Cal:
=====================
- Cal wins a close, close game.
==================
- OSU thunders ahead to that big UM game. Unfortunately, the Hoosiers lose again.
Northwestern vs. Michigan State:
=========================

Re: Week 8 Picks
Who criticized PSU for playing noon games? I thought it was INGENEOUS that Northwestern scheduled a noon home game vs PSU in THEIR timezone, after PSU had to travel to their school for their 1st road trip in almost a year. BRILLIANT!!!!

Re: Week 8 Picks
Nice try, Ol' Moldy. Maybe it was back on the LH board, I forget, but you criticized Penn State for playing noon games all the time. You alluded to that being the reason why people around the country watched their horrible program. Now, Penn State plays games at other times, because they have become a hotter commodity for the time-slots. Isn't it funny how Pitt is playing at noon?
I actually emailed Stephen Pearcy, the old lead-singer of the 80's hair-metal band "RATT". Here's what Pearcy had to say about Pitt playing noon games:
"Round and round! What comes around goes around!"

United in metal and Pitt hatred: Me and Stephen Pearcy.

Your're right. You forget alot of stuff. How can you forget something that was never said? Who gives a crap WHEN psu plays it's games. Only problem with PSU games at noon is, their fans are drunk sooner in the afternoon.

Pitt fans drink wine. They're elegant losers.
