If you were to look at the tussey mt. wins and do their combined win total, it wouldn't be that great either. Again, reward a losing team. That's great, district 5.....pathetic. Part of the problem with today's society, reward the weak. Then when they get in the real world they expect things to be handed to them.

candid, you bash rockwood about playing 5 teams with combined 1-13, then state that tussey gave them all they could handle....heck of an argument if you ask me (please not the heavy use of sarcasm!) also why would we be upset about the possibility of tussey pulling one out? theyre probly 150/1 underdogs to even make the semifinals, let alone win, there is no way that any person in this world with at least a semi functional brain would believe that tussey will win districts. it just aint gonna happen, the only thing that letting them into the playoffs with their losing record is doing is getting a bunch of kids' hopes up for nothing.

analyst, ok, bedfords been in playoffs with losing records...it still doesnt make it right. do you think we're just saying what we are because of school rivalries? please, id be ashamed to see my almamater in the post season with a losing record, they dont deserve it and niether does anyone else

just let tussey have their moment. you know they probably won't go past the first play-off game anyway. they deserve some spotlight, positive spotlight not the negative crap that people have been saying about them. they have come a ways from the 0-9 record that they've had for the past 2 seasons. they worked hard and had a few tough losses and a few heartbreaking losses but over all i don't think that they've played too badly. JV and NB were they're only really bad games so far. and seriously, i went to tussey and i don't remember a time in the past 9 years when we've been in the play-offs. so kudos to them.

What is so magical about having a .500 record to make you playoff worthy? 5-4 isn't all that great either. Maybe we should make it 7-2? Oh, let's just let undefeated teams in the playoffs! It would shorten the playoffs and the state championship wouldn't have to wait till the middle of December!

What chance does a 5-4 team have of winning a district championship? Not much, so why let them in? What chance does a 7-2 team have of advancing in the inter-district playoffs? Not much, so why let them in?

My point is simply this, if District 5 wants to fill out their playoffs with 6 teams, then so what? It's not like the 4-5 and 3-6 teams are going to do much anyway. Do the 3-6 teams from District 5 go around taunting the 6-3 teams from the LHAC that don't get to the playoffs? I don't think so. I really don't see the travesty in letting some kids in a playoff game. Isn't a good thing to get kids involved in such things?

whatever happened to the playoffs actually meaning something and being "exclusive"? thats the big deal. and hate to tell you but most 5-4 teams are actually pretty decent with a majority of thier losses being less than 6 or 7 points id say. they have ALOT better chance at winning than a 4-5 or THREE AND SIX!!! team. look at CC last year...they were like 6-3 or 5-4 somethin like that i dont remember, but they knocked off a 9-0 team....id like to see tussey do that, cuz i know it aint gonna happen.

How do you know most 5-4 teams only lose by less than 6 or 7 points. That may be the dumbest thing I've ever read on here.

So what you're saying is if a team is 5-4 they were in close games but if they are 3-6 they were in blowouts.

TM will probably end at 3-6 but only lost to West Branch by 1 point, lost to Glendale by 2 and Mt. Union by 1. How do you explain that Gunner.

Oh, I know there 66-0 loss to Juniata Valley and 34-0 loss to NBC make up the difference.

It must take a really small minded person to make the comment that 5-4 teams are pretty good by losing by 6 or 7 points total when Titans would be 6-3 if it would be for 6 or 7 points total. I think you need to quit contradicting yourself.....PLEASE! Let the kids have their moment. Why are you so upset about Tussey getting a chance...so what if it is 100 to 1 long shot...Let it go.....Tussey made the playoffs!!!!!!!

Good point Candid! Tussey tried hard this year unlike past years when they've had kids and coaches who could care less and just gave up. Good job to the new coach and I think that given the chance, he could make something out of the Tussey football program.
