Fact is you can't get in the red zone and not score twice.
If thats not bad enough you have a chance to run the clock and you call plays scared.
When you get into a pressure situation you gotta keep your composure when calling plays.
In my opinion the kids played there hearts out for ridge and the playcalling lost it thats a bad situation to put the kids into.

Knock it off. Go back into your hole and don't come out.
I'm fed up with everyone bashing Ridge. I knew I'd come home, log on, and read this crap.
Were you at the game? Which school do you hail from? I'll be sure to follow them the rest of the way and kick you when you lose. Your age is listed as 47 - ACT LIKE IT!
Those boys, on both sides, played a great game. The officials did a great job in my opinion. The only questionable call I can remember was a no-call on a PI that was probably uncatchable, so in all likelihood, it was a correct no-call.
Ridge outplayed MC, but in the end, they left them hang around too long. Too many missed opportunties inside the 10. At least 3 times inside the ten with 0 points, with 1 missed FG and 2 4th downs not converted.
IMO, Ridge wore down in the 4th qtr. That happened all season, and it's a direct result of too many guys going both ways. I don't claim to know the talent level of every player on the team, but it just seems to me that with that many kids on the squad, they could be giving some of those guys a few breathers every now and then.
A very frustrating loss. And you're right - again. But you don't need to kick someone when they're down.

How else might you describe it?
If you get the ball inside the ten and don't get any points out of it, something is very wrong. You say missed opportunities... I say blew their chance. So everyone agrees.
And in MountainMan's defense... fold means to collapse or fail. So he is perfectly fine to say that. Why? It's because they did exactly that... failed(lost). They failed to score when they were down in the red zone.

One more thing...
How could CR outplay MC and not when? And how could they outplay them and not "fold"? Explain...

Read my posts again. Do some of you have the ability to read before you post?
Look at the stats when they come out. You'll see what I'm referring to. Had you been at the game, you would know what I'm talking about.
In the end, the only stat that matters is the scoreboard and I know that. I just get sick of reading the crap a lot of you put on here.
You can't offer up any good insights to the game. All you know how to do is bash the school. Quit jumping on the bandwagon of Ridge bashers. I guarantee you that if Bedford would've won tonight, this board would have been full of that. But since they lost too, nary a peep.

And I don't want to hear about how Wilkins called a bad game, because he didn't. Ridge makes one first down and they most likely win 7-6.
It was a hardhitting, well-played game. The offiicials, as LP said, did a great job -- and both coaches realized that it was the type of game where they needed to play it pretty close to the vest.

Coach Wilkins did a really good job this year. They lost some serious studs from last year and did not have many starters back on either side of the ball and they win 8 games. Right now they have a really good thing at Ridge.
