Marion Center at Chestnut Ridge
It was a hardhitting, well-played game.
That game was the hardest hitting game I saw all year. Those MC boys came to play, that's for sure. Credit the MC boys, they really know how to hit. They were probably the hardest hitting team Ridge seen all year, but credit the CR boys, they gave it right back with some good solid hits as well.
It's my belief that FH will win this one fairly easily. But don't look past these guys or you might be sorry. If you control #56 on the D-line, you help your cause. That kid is an animal out there and for a big guy, was all over the field. #66 looks intimidating because of his height, but #56 is the one you want to control.

Re: Marion Center at Chestnut Ridge
alright,.......im really sick of this........im 15 years old and i know this rule.....when there is a pass in PIAA it does not matter if it is uncatchable or NOT it is still PI. PIAA does not look like NCAA of NFL does it?
speedball is correct. It doesn't matter if the ball is uncatchable or not, if it is PI it is PI. Another rule that is different is if the receiver catches the ball in the air clearly in bounds but is knocked out of bounds before he can get a foot down is should be ruled no catch.
Then the play I was referring to was definitely PI. The receiver was in the endzone and the ball was a few yards out of bounds. But there's no doubt in my mind the DB pretty much tackled him before the ball got there.
Regardless, overall the officials did a good job. Obviously that play could've made a huge difference if Ridge gets that penalty, but there were other opportunties.

Re: Marion Center at Chestnut Ridge
The PI Rule is kind of strange if you look at it. They don't decide if the ball is "catchable", but yet they do. The rule states that there has to be a reciever in the immediate area, which out of bounds could be considered NOT in the immediate area because if he was in the immediate area he would be out of bounds. Basically, its the ref's choice whether it was "catchable" without deciding whether it was "catchable". If you can understand that, which is very hard.

You Ridgerites kill me.
Don't bash us, Don't kick us when we were down...ect.
Come on. Yea Bedford lost, but you hardly played a team on the same level as Bishop McCort.
Another loss, another reason to prove why it is a joke how Ridge left a conference just to make the playoffs and claim "There is really a good thing going on down there at Cheasnut Ridge". Boy, you even had the state believing, I mean you've been toting that Honorable Mention around since what week 3.
But next year I'm sure everyone is going to have to get on this site and read 72 pages of Ridge Hype Garbage and how "last year doesn't matter, this is a new group of seniors...blah blah blah".
You want to improve your program do it the right way. Committ your administration, community, and coaching staff to winning and get after it. To me if I were a "Proud Supporter of CR football", I would get a little bit sick and tired of getting embarrassed year after year.
You want to see what a good coaching staff, and a school that is recommitting itself to winning can do. Watch Tussey Mountain over the next 3 years. Mark my words now. If that staff stays together at that school, which I believe they will be cause the school hired good teachers who had good football coaching skills, they will be contending for the D5 title every year.
If it can happen at Tussey it can happen anywhere. But it won't happen at CR with the current joke of a system you are running down there.
