Eagles done with Owens for the season
Re: Eagles done with Owens for the season
The Eagles were done even with TO in the lineup. This team can't and won't run the ball and their defense is crap. How they held LT to such a bad game I will never know. One good thing though is that they don't have a huge distraction in their locker room right now. Maybe he'll go to the Raiders with Moss. Collins does need all the help he can get.

Give me a break. How many Penn State fans hate on Curtis Martin or Kevan Barlow for no reason? Go look at Collins' numbers, idiot. THIS is the reason why people should get banned from the site.

Well, I doubt that Reggie Brown is nearly as good as TO, but that doesn't mean that when McNabb has a good game, that Brown isn't capable of putting up a statline that's comparable to TO.
I think Terrell Owens and his off field antics are a large part of the reason that the Eagles are 4-4. The other part of the equation is the Eagles aren't balanced enough. This is a team that throws first, second, and third, and might consider running fourth when the defense drops 8 men back to defend the pass. The key word there is MIGHT. If the Eagles can pass about 60 to 65% of the time instead of 80 to 90% of the time, they should be able to improve dramatically with more offensive balance and the biggest off field distraction gone for the season. It's hard to overestimate how much a loudmouth such as TO can hurt a team like the Eagles.
As far as where Terrell Owens will go, he isn't going to go anywhere this season, and possibly not next. There are going to be very very few teams interested in him because of his ego and what he did to the Eagles, and out of those, fewer yet will be able to afford his price.
Houston is in desperate straits, they are a young team, and they might be a little interested, but they'd stay away because TO would tear such a young team apart and eat them for lunch.
Oakland is probably interested, but since they have Jerry Porter and Randy Moss, where are they going to come up with the dough to sign TO for 5 to 6 million a year? Would they be interested in TO for that much?
Minnesota desperately needs a wide out, but if Randy Moss was kicked off the team, there's no way the Vikings would even let TO near them.
And none of the other teams in the NFL would even try to pick Terrell Owens up. And anybody who does try, even one of the above three, would be turned down. Why? Because after all this trouble, there is no team out there that would pay Owens what he THINKS he's worth.

Why does it always have to be about Pitt Vs. Penn St. with you? I was simply stating that Collins needs some help thats all. When your team is 3-5 you do need a little bit of something.

fleaflicker,
t.o. will not be a eagle next year... the eagles dont want him and like i said earlier i hope he goes to a crappy team like the browns or the texans... the raiders would be a great fit with their bad boy image but i dont know if they have the cap room plus i dont think moss and owens can co-exist...
t.o. is a really outspoken person... he never lies and every comment he's made from the one about favre to about them not celebrating his 100 td, well thats t.o., i do not think he's a team player, maybe he'll be better at tennis where it is a invidiual sport...

I hope he done for good...TO is nothing but a piece of no good crapin my eyes, because he is not a team player. He is a ME player, nobody can play with a ME player. Toss him out.....FOR GOOD!!!!!

Weapon, it does not always come to Pitt vs. Penn State with me. But I know you're a Pitt fan, and your comment was ridiculous. Collins' numbers are very very solid. Does Kerry Collins play defense for the Raiders? Does Andre Johnson play defense for the Texans? How is it their fault that they lose games? The offense should never have to score every time they touch the ball. Curtis Martin is a hall of fame running back. Jets undefeated?
Re: Eagles done with Owens for the season
Why is my comment ridiculous? No where in my posts do I blame Collins for the Raiders 3-5 record. My posts say he needs some help and its true. Me being a Pitt fan has nothing to do with this post.

Re: Eagles done with Owens for the season
well i agree that collins needs help there in oakland, cuz the raiders dont have a defense... anyways if they had the cap room, the owens, moss, and porter may not work out with chemistry but they would then have one hell of a offense with a 4-wide spread attack, kinda like texas tech and their team, big offense, no defense, collins would easily pass for over 4,000 yards
but that aint going to happen, i see t.o. going somewhere like washington or denver but i rather see him go to cleveland and houston

What I mean about TO not going anywhere is simply that he won't be playing anywhere, period. As of right now, he is, in effect, no longer an Eagle. I know that, everybody knows that, and that's the whole point of the original post that I put up. I don't know if any team in the league will want him. Then again, somehow, somebody somewhere will be dumb enough to try and pick him up.
