you can wrestle several times in one day, i dont know of many football teams willing to play 3 or 4 games in one day or one weekend
And what does that have to do with anything.

because it allows you to have more participants, the reason the football playoffs are limited is because they can only play so many games, with wrestling, you can wrestle double figure matches in ONE weekend, therefore allowing for a much broader field of entry, lets be honest, who would want to go to the district wrestling meet if only 6 kids were permitted in each weight class? NOT ME! you cannot compare football to any other sport!

That's exactly my point. In football the spots are predetermined because of scheduling. Therefore you fill the spots with the qualified teams. If a 3-6 team qualified then so be it.

And by the way, I wouldn't go to a district wrestling meet if there were 100 kids in each weight class.

Shows how much I know about wrestling. That's why I'm posting in the football thread, not that I know much about football.

Glendale, real powerhouse...somehow those words don't go together. Maybe they are a "powerhouse" compared to the Dragons and before you come on here bashing Tussey again let me remind you that I'm not claiming the Titans to be a powerhouse at all.

Again Gunner comes on and makes no sense at all...Saying Wrestling handles more participants etc...District 5 IS GIVEN 3 (three) weeks to determine a Champion...This allows a max of 8 participants. But to pare it down some, the committee permits 6 to qualify. This is predetermined before anyone hands out a helmet...Should they in October, when the WestPac teams, (NS,& CT) faltered a little lower than expected and TM dropped a game or two they should have won (MU & WB or G) say. "Whoops too many teams in let's cancel a round of playoffs."
No they continue as planned and TM pulled off a win & hopefully will get another and be in "Da Finals".

I know but, you said there, let everyone wrestle because there is time to get the tourney complete. 3 weeks is enough time to get a six team tourney complete, D5 permits 6 to qualify because the time is granted for them to do that.
