By no means were they trying to score. It might have even been 4th down and 8 or something like that with 20 some seconds remaining. All Tyrone did was run a half hearted QB keeper forward to run some time off and Wilson more less walked into the end zone. Franco has had plenty of chances to run scores up over the years at Tyrone and I have never seen him do it once.

I imagine it was a QB sneak. Tyrone's team is very respectable. They wouldn't want something like that to over shadow a big victory.

I would of ran the same play. Running the ball takes a couple extra seconds off of the clock. Every second counts in HS football.

Either way... PC wasn't going to win and they should of stopped it. You are in the playoffs for a reason. You don't take any plays off... whether it is the first or the last play. It's still a play.

I noticed that Tyrone kneeled down tonight to end the game (in regulation). Maybe they're mixed up or something. Why do you NOT kneel down with a 10 point lead, but kneel down with 35 seconds left on your own 35 with the game tied?

First of all, out of courtesy Tyrone could have ended the game last week with a kneel down and a 10 point lead. But that's one thing. Tonight, after McCort ties the game, Tyrone gets the ball back at it's own 35, with a couple of timeouts left, and chose to kneel down and let time run out in regulation, instead of trying a few plays to WIN the game. Instead, they were happy to take their chances in overtime, not even trying to make things happen before time ran out. Guess that's my point.

I guess I still don't understand what the big deal is about LAST WEEK?

That's part of your problem. You don't understand. You don't see any problem with running the ball for a TD with a few seconds on the clock and a 15 point lead instead of kneeling down and ending it? Wow. Would you have liked it if they would have let McCort kick an extra point after that overtime TD?
