Re: Who best distance running Freshman around?
well mitchell what do u plan to run this year in the 1600 and whats your right hand man jordan planing to run??
Re: Who best distance running Freshman around?
don't completely disregard these guys
mitchell and donaldson could get below 4:40 this year but i would still be that fred snyder of everett is the district champ this year
and fred could get around a 4:20-4:30 this year as he ran a 4:37 last year
either way i can see fred qualifying for states with the times if not place

Well, whoever it was that says I don't know what I am talking about (don't even know who that was), Donaldson was faster than Mitchell in the 8th grade track meet I had attended before writing that post. It does look like Mitchell is faster now, over a year later, but things can change over a year and a half. Perhaps Mitchell can be great if he learns to humble. After all, if he keeps talking himself up, there's going to be plenty of guys training while he's on here yapping. And when they race, they will beat him. First step to success is hard work. And it seems that the great ones never seem to think that they are great...

Re: Who best distance running Freshman around?
We all like our champions to be humble, but that is not always the case. You need look no further than Steve Prefontaine to prove that. He was very cocky, especially in his HS and college days. His cockiness seemed to be a product of his confidence. He did seem a more humble near the latter part of his short life.
You don't have to be humble to be great, but people will take a liking to you more if you do have some humility. Prefontaine was loved for his style of running, not his humility.
Flea is right about this though....the first step to success is hard work.

and i said this once already to someone i am not faster than jordan , jordan would blow me away in the 800 i could proubly beat him in the 3200 but we run differnt events jordan put on about 20 pounds this year and is a lot stronger which he should be a very good 400m to 800m runner he will proubly run the mile a cupal times because our coach dosent let us run the same events every meet he likes to mix it up and sometimes let me run the 400 and 800 and let him run the mile and the 3200
Re: Who best distance running Freshman around?
prefontaine was the man
now look at brian sell they look a lot alike when sell has his hair and beard grown out
lol
but it will be interesting to see mitchell and donaldson compete this year as they are only sophomores and should be a threat to go to states
