i dont think bedford will have many big boys like years past. those were good times 3 or so years ago when the bison frowers would take around 25 out 27 possible points from every meet, but now things have changed and the bisons are now a track team, not a field team

One of the two kids from Meyersdale would be good possibilities. I don't remember their names, but one was a junior and the other was a sophomore last year. I believe they both threw over 120' in the disc. Another good thrower on the boys side is the guy from Berlin who is the returning district champ in the javelin, and was also aroung 120' in the disc. Southern Fulton had three good throwers last year, and I think at least one of them is back. Windber also had some talented throwers, but I am unsure who returns there.

On the girls side, the district champs in both the javelin and the discus return to throw for Berlin this year. Don't know much beyond that.

Well with Adam Henderson and Mark Boyer graduated, Ridge will need some throwers to step it up for them.

On the girls side, yes, expect Berlin to do well again this year. Ella Meese should do well in discus again...and I believe it's Megan Lehmans who is their top javelin thrower. As for shot put, Ridge still has Tessa Fraizer who should continue to do well and improve this year. But then, NBC has Catya Gilbert who should also do well and continue to improve also.
Chestnut Ridge Lions...let's step it up a notch this year! 8)

I thought that Gilbert was a senior last year. She was very impressive at Districts last year, and has to be one of the pre-season favorites. Am I correct in assuming that she will be a senior this year?

I thought all the girl's District Champs were going to be back this year. Can't say that I'm positive about that though.
