Posluszny Back for 2006
Re: Posluszny Back for 2006
Isn't that like a local kid making the all-state team in high school football, but not making the Tribune all-area team?

I believe the player you are referring to was the Trib Offensive Player of the year. I wondered too why the Offensive and Defensive players of the year weren't included on the all-area team, until I read the disclaimer at the bottom stating that the guys that win those 2 awards aren't included on the all-area team.
Not saying I agree with that, just explaining how they did it.

Come on Moldo...you know that the Tribune never leaves off All-Staters.
Only because they wait until after the All-State Team is released to make sure they include them on the All-Area Team.
The Butkus award is voted on by the Entire NCAA. Big Ten Defensive Players of the year is voted on by only the Big Ten.
At the beginning of the OSU/ND game the announcer (Saunders I think) made a comment about how many people felt that Hawk should of won over Puz because of Hawk being a Senior and Puz being a Junior. Then next year Puz would be the natural favorite. I was a little suprised he offered his opinion like that. The way it came out it sounded like he was trying to take something away from Poslosnzy

It was Brent Musberger, and if you ever listen to any game he covers of Ohio States you'll quickly find out how inlove with Ohio State he truely is. He went as far as saying that Troy Smith, no matter who comes back next year(this was before the Rose Bowl had played out and Vince declared for the NFL), would be the front runner for the Heisman, no doubt. The way he says A.J. Hawk too, the man just pisses me off. It's always, "The Ohio State defense AND A.J. Hawk", you'd swear they'd play with 12 guys on the field, and only needed 1... Brent Musberger for dipshit of the year.

You know how some people won't buy a lottery ticket until the pot is about $186 million. You know, spending a dollar to win $25 million isn't worth it. Well, to me, that's what Posluszny is doing. Getting drafted in the late 1st round, and getting all that money that comes with it, just isn't worth it. It's only worth it if he can go HIGH in the draft. Are we sure he didn't get a head injury in the Orange Bowl instead of a leg injury????

If Vince Young wasn't projected to go 2 or 3 do you think he would be coming out? It's the power of the dollar my man. No matter which way you wanna cut it. The entire LBing crew of Ohio State would be taken infront of Pos because they are prepared the best to go to the NFL game. As they are all Seniors. He still has one year of eligibility left to improve on his abilities and improve his draft dollar. The man is not an idiot.

I agree with you 100% Ham on Brent Musberger. It does not matter who Ohio State plays he is always pulling for them. It pissed me off the last couple games of the year how he kept saying that ohio state should get the Big Ten's BCS spot if Penn State and Ohio State both finished 7-1 in the conference. He is definitely the dipshit of the year every year.
p.s. a couple years ago he could not get out of the stadium at happy valley. It took 50+ cops with pepper spray to get him out of the stadium after he ripped penn state during a game and fans were waiting for him outside the booth.

I"d rather sign for 100 million rather than 2 million.
Remember Moldo, all that money is guaranteed money. What if you are like Curtis Enos and you bust in training camp?
Than you left early, have no degree, and have some money left, but you probably blew a large portion on stuff that you now can't afford.
Sounds like you are going broke.
It's a personal choice that people just have to make.

Regardless what Poz decided it was going to be wrong to some people, especially on this site.
He stays: he's stupid for not going after the $$.
He goes: he's turned his back on PSU, etc.
I have a suggestion for ABC. At the next Ohio State - Michigan game, put Musberger and Bob Griese in the booth together. With Musberger pulling for OSU and Griese for Michigan, they should put each other in the hospital.
