Holiday wrap: The Tournament of Champions' Black Division featured "12" ranked teams, with No. #1 Christ the King (Queens, N.Y.) winning its second consecutive title. No. #4 Collins Hill (Suwanee, Ga.), No. #12 Cardinal O'Hara (Springfield, Pa.) and No. #13 Ursuline Academy (Wilmington, Del.) each helped itself with strong showings at the TOC. No. #17 Oregon City (Ore.) made the biggest splash of the four newcomers to the rankings, winning the Energy Classic in Gillette, Wyo., and going 2-2 in the TOC Black.
Player of the week: C Tina Charles of No. #1 Christ the King was M.V.P. of the Tournament of Champions' Black Division, scoring 117 points in four games with a high of "40" against then-No. #20 Ursuline Academy (Wilmington, Del.).

DelleDonne, 6-5, finished with 18 points, eight rebounds and went 2-of-3 from the free throw line. DelleDonne bettered the previous mark of 70, by Shanna Zolman of Wawasee (Syracuse, Ind.) in 2001-02.

PG Melissa Lechlitner of No. #14 St. Joseph's (South Bend, Ind.), a candidate for Indiana's Miss Basketball award, is averaging 22.8 points and teammate G Sydney Smallbone 19. Lechlitner and Smallbone have signed with Notre Dame and Tennessee, respectively.
