Why is it that there was an outcry over Pat Robertson, who is not an elected official, when he said that Ariel Sharon suffered a stroke because God was mad at him for giving up too much Holy Land to the Palestinians.
But then Ray Nagin, elected as mayor of New Orleans, says God is mad at us, punishing us with hurricanes, for being in Iraq. Where's the outcry? Where is the same condemnation that was so fitting for Robertson, but not being handed out to Nagin. Shouldn't the media be all over this one?

Re: Please explain?
It was on NBC news this evening. The report made Nagin look rather foolish. It's also under top headlines on the ABC news site. There seems to be some attention being paid to his comments.

Here's the reason: Robertson, the smug, bloated hypocrit (I actually sort of kind of once upon a time admired him) has been busting the chops of a hell of a lot of people for decades, so when he spouts off and there's a chance for payback, people will take it -- especially the Godless, Communist media.
I've seen a lot of negative stuff about Nagin since his latest statements came out. But I think that a lot of reporters and broadcasters have come to realize that the guy's INSANE!!!
If you don't believe me, read this kook's statement about New Orleans becoming a "chocolate city" as well as the stuff mentioned above. The man needs to be heavily medicated.

I think the whole aftermath of Katrina (including their kook Mayor) was quite insane.
We were told in so many words (and exact quotes):
(1) Bush does not care about black people (go back to talking about Golddiggers Kanye).
(2) Bodies were being stacked in the basement of the Super Dome (yet none were found...perhaps canabilism???)
(3) Tens of thousands were dead (yet what is the official body count??? Have you heard lately, for I sure haven't).
(4) Alligators were swimming in the flooded streets of N.O.
(5) Babies were being raped in the Super Dome then tossed in garbage bins.
Media = amazing = trolls.

Re: Please explain?
I'm sorry, but I'm just not seeing the outcry over his statements like there would be if it was a conservative.
How about Hitlary saying the House is being run like a plantation - to a black audience yet to boot. Where's the outcry? My goodness, Trent Lott lost a leadership position for saying much less than that. What if a Republican would've said that? The liberals would be demanding a resignation and the media would be backing that. Shouldn't Hitlary resign?
How about Teddy "Hiccup" Kennedy blasting Judge Alito for an "affiliation with an organization that fought the admission of women into Princeton calls into question his appreciation for the need for full equality in this country,". Click here to read about Teddy's own membership of an all-male club.
In reference to Nagin's "chocolate" quote, what do you think would be said if a white mayor commented about his city being "vanilla"?
And none of you see the hyprocracy?

If Senator Hillary needs to apologize for using the word "plantation" to describe the GOP, I can't wait for the media to now demand apologies from:
Townhall.com
The National Review
The Wall Street Journal
Rush Limbaugh Show
Newsmax
The Washington Times
Bob Novak

Re: Please explain?
It seems rather clear that the "Libs" on this board do not support what Ray Nagin said. Where do the conservatives on the board stand on Pat Robertson's statement?

I disagree with it. I'm not a Pat Robertson fan by any means. But the hyprocracy of him getting slammed because he's a conservative and letting these other comments by liberals go is unbelievable. And the fact that you all refuse to acknowledge that occurs amazes me.
How do you feel about Hillary's?
How do you feel about the personal bashing of Alito by someone who had no room to talk?
