Im sorry you know my bad must have gotten it off the net. Gimme a break I am 100% sure about the basketball thing. Mike Trangese big east commissioner is a huge bball guy and second Temple has tons of money you never want to kick a team with money like that out of a conference. I know people in Temples athletic department and I know the facts but im not gonna defend myself on a message board with people that dont have a clue

As a visa versa thing, why was Notre Dame allowed in for Basketball, but was excused for not playing football in the conference? Just wondering.

pale. why are you doing this? are you serious? everybody knows that the big east was trying to upgrade the conference in football so as not to lose the bcs bid. temple had no potential and had to go.

You never want any team to leave your conference no matter how bad. Also, with the ND thing when they joined the football team was in turmoil with Davie struggling so they figured if they got in they would eventually get the football team. ND is big east in everything but football. They almost lost their tv deal and if they would have lost it then they would have joined

So let me ask you this. It's okay for Pit to use Heinz Field so they can impress recruits by saying they play in the same place as a storied NFL franchise, and there's no heat on Pitt's COMPLETE lack of morals by being a complete mooch who has no clout and no prestige, but it's completely opposite for Temple and the Eagles? Give me a "freaking" break. Those stadiums attract kids who normally wouldn't go there. And if it's not the deciding factor, it sure as hell doesn't hurt. Oh but Pitt's so much better than Temple, that's the difference, right? Temple beat Pitt a couple of times in the recent past. The Big East should acknowledge the fact that they had not only two college teams in NFL stadiums last season, but they have two NOW.

The criteria was having 1) 25,000 spectators for home games and 2) a stadium you had control of on Saturdays during football season. Nothing was said about having a stadium ON your campus. Pitt has both. Temple did not have both. Sharing a field with Penn was NOT going to work for Temple. Sorry. You you can rant and rave about Heinz field all you want, it has nothing to do with being a Big East football member.

I might have missed it with the holidays and all but I still haven't seen if LeSean McCoy has committed anywhere yet. Rivals has State and VA Tech as the leading contenders. Does anyone have the scoop?

McCoy enrolled in prep school (Milford). Academics were severely lacking.

Orginally the Eagles said that Temple couldnt play the homes games at the new field before it was built, however, the governor felt bad for Temple so they worked out a deal.
