Say what you want but there's something to be said about a player in a specialist position who can stay a starter for that long in the NFL.

One Phrase..."No Super Bowl Victories".
Marino may have been the best passer ever in the NFL...but he is nowhere near the best Quarterback ever.

How many Super Bowl victories does Jerome have? Steeler fans think he's the god of football. Super Bowl Victories are not everything. They are a big plus. I'm sure there's a Patriot or two that sat on the sidelines for all 3 victories. Does that make them better than Dan Marino? I don't think so. Get real.

I suppose Trent Dilfer is a great quarterback for leading the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory? Championships are part of greatness, but greatness is also created by circumstances. Would Bradshaw have won any Super Bowls with Marino's cast in Miami? Would Marino have won Super Bowls if he had played with Bradshaw's cast? Marino wasn't the reason the Dolphins failed to win a Super Bowl during his playing days.

Dan Marino is among the greatest to have ever played, but to be THE greatest you must have rings baby. Joe Montana#1 Tom Brady has to be included in the greatest also.
Roethlisberger is well on his way to greatness the extent remains to be seen.

Doesn't Dilfer have proof?

If I were going to put together an all-time all-star team Marino would be my quarterback. Super Bowl victories mean nothing.

brett farve is probably one of the best qb's this season and look at how he ended the year, a great qb can appear to be a chump becuase of his supporting cast

Re: Anyone get that license plate?
If I were going to put together an all-time NFL bust team, I would run the Maryland I with Blair Thomas, Curtis Enis, and Kijana Carter as my backs. By the way, what is the difference between Kijana Carter and a plastic bag. Nothing!
