Lions get ANOTHER huge QB prospect!!!!
I guess Tom McEowen(4 star), a DT from Langhorne, PA isn't from in the state, right? Or Abe Koroma(3 star DT) from Hershey, or Travis McBride (3 star Safety) from McKeesport, or Jared Odrick (4star DT) from Lebanon, right? They aren't PA kids. I forgot about them.
The only other state that we've recruited more from would be Maryland(7) and New Jersey(5), and what do you expect after Williams came outta Maryland and had the success he did last season?

20% of PSU verbals from PA, plus Top PA QB, and going after Top PA RB, McCoy, who went to prep.
That drunk stooge at the ESPN Zone should roll $10 worth of pennies for a monthly subscription to Scout or Rivals.

You make it sound as if they should stick to PA and no where else. I said it the way I ment to. SARCASTICALLY. My last statement should have tipped you off there.

Re: Lions get ANOTHER huge QB prospect!!!!
I'm only repeating what Emerson said. Guess he feels that PSU is ignoring the state. Again, he didn't say the PSU got NO ONE!!! 20% sounds like alot, but it's only 5 kids. He may have a ligitimate complaint here. How can you root for PSU when most everybody is an outsider so to speak? And the top QB was by default, as he said. Joepa was losing out to Miami's QB coach for this kid, before he was let go. A QB coach for cripes sake!!!!! He was picking Miami's QB coach over Paterno!!! WOW!!

Perhaps not between the QB coach and Paterno.
About his Dec. 15 visit to "Tha U"
When asked about his favorite part of the visit, he had an interesting response. "To be honest, it was probably the eating," he said. "We ate tons of food and it was awesome. Actually, I liked every aspect of the visit. Nothing really stood out more than anything else, really. The campus was beautiful and I really liked watching the team practice."
"Kirby Freeman was my host," he said. "He's a great guy. They have some great quarterbacks there so it'll give me a chance to learn from some really good players. I'm excited about the direction of the program because while watching practice I noticed a lot of great athletes and a lot of them are young -- just freshmen and sophomores."
Not a single word about coaching. Maybe that LSU loss was the key, followed by the Cocker reaction??

Re: Lions get ANOTHER huge QB prospect!!!!
Well you are wrong. Everything I read said that when the QB coach was let go, Devlin bolted. So yes, A Miami assistant coach meant more to this kid than JoePa.

Then maybe Larry Cocker will learn a lesson: Don't have knee-jerk reactions just because you were beaten by a better SEC team.
Devlin's initial decision though had close to zero to do with coaching.

Then he's a jerk. Who commits to a 4 year program and thinks NOTHING about the coaching? Maybe he picked PSU because of the stadium, or because Mommy and Daddy went there. Those reasons are just as logical.

Now it's wrong to go to a school because your parents went there.

Re: Lions get ANOTHER huge QB prospect!!!!
Not necessarily. But Patty (as his parent's called him), had a better plan. Go somewhere where they have lots of good things to eat, and worry about the coaches once you get there.
