Re: Best back-court in bball
The post said:"Who has the best back-court in high school??...not all time!!"
To which Holly replys:
All-time?
And:
any info on what this guy wants here??
What, did farmer Hall teach you to read?
Then Count chimes in with:
wow...i'm not even sure if he's in the right forum, he might be asking for NCAA, maybe even NBA, all-time, right now... who knows...
I don't know what to tell ya TMT 22. I know Tussey has an English department and I just assumed that other schools did as well.
Congratulations Bigcat. You are the only one who understood the question. And nice post as well.

skoal...did you miss the little message at the bottom of his post that he has edited it TWICE since we asked those questions? and ur saying we need to learn to read? pay attention to everything, not just what you want to read.

Re: Best back-court in bball
Salisbury doesn't have the best backcourt... pleasee... tell me another one. when was the last time salisbury had a winning season, its been a loooong time were talking 1990's. Athleticism and starting kids at basketball at a young age will get you a good time, you have to have a solid "junior" program to start kids and slowly build it up. The kids that aren't good, and don't want to play will sort themselves out along the way, and should end up with a very good product. Look what Shade, Windber, Shanksville, Berlin... alot of the Somerset County schools are starting them young... takes time to build a good team!!!
Re: Best back-court in bball
OneEyedJack...The question didn't have anything to do with elementary programs, winning seasons in the 1990's and the best teams. It was about the best guard combo in the area.
There best player wasn't even a guard (see: 6'6 sophomore Shane Knopsnyder- 20 points and 11 boards). Podlesnik and Beiler were two of the best with Podlesnik averaging 14 points and almost 9 assists a game (The leader in the county usually dishes out 6). Beiler averaged 17 points a game and is 100 points away from 1000. It was amazing what these two did with such a young team and injured teammate Vaughn out of the lineup all season....Everyone, including myself, usually thinks of Salisbury as a push over, but the improvement this group of youngsters has made is a real tribute to how hard they work....
You are right...It does take time to build a good team, and with this group, it's taken 2 years....But just think....They all have at least another year in the high school ranks....
Talk to you next March
