Re: 6,509
I said THEY LOST 9 games this year by a total of 144 points. Why did I have to average in the games they won???? I was only talking about how much THEY LOST games by. You only need to average in the wins if you're talking about + or - in ALL game scoring, which I wasn't. By the way, maybe Illinois is headed in the wrong direction.

Well, Texas lost 3 games by a total of 100 points. Does that make them a bad team? I don't think so. They've only lost 3 games. Who cares what the average total is?

Penn State beat the 6th ranked Illinios in Illinois last night. They must be a terrible, god aweful, horribly overranked team if they let a team like Penn State beat them...

For your stats... find out the average of their last five losses as they are playing much better basketball right now.
Then, get back to us please.
Or, figure it out without their two biggest losses. I know they got beat by like 40 or so in one game and that skews the stats a bit.

Look at it like this. This is the exact same thing I was talking about when Penn State was "bad" in football. As a fan, all you can ask for is for your school or franchise to make rational attempts to get the team headed in the right direction. Penn State brought in Galen Hall, and sent him to UT to learn the offense. That's a rational attempt to turn things around. The Penn State basketball team has gotten a lot better with DeChellis. The only question a school or franchise has to ask themselves is: are we moving in the right direction? If the answer is yes, then you're fine.

PENN STATE 66
#6 Illlinois 65
This is the type of game when in 5 years when the program is a national contender consistently you can look back and say this was the game that got it all started. Penn State went to possibly the second toughest(behind Cameron Indoor) place to play in the country and overcame a 13-0 deficit in the first half. Wow congrats Nittany Lions.

Mack Brown and JoePa are pretty tight. I think that's what let Hall go down to Texas to find out some things. I think that helped out Robinson a lot this year. Was it a bad thing for Texas to do that? I'm not sure. I guess as long as PSU didn't beat them in the National Championship, then it doesn't matter. Again, it doesn't matter how bad you get beat in the games that you get beaten in. As long as you can rebound, and come back to beat the #6 ranked team in the nation. It doesn't matter how bad your losses were. I'm not a PSU fan by any stretch of the imagination. However, I have to defend and agree with them on this one.
