You may say that count but what if some of those calls were called and it cost the Steelers the game. Now I know you\\\'ll say that the calls didn\\\'t cost the game but who really knows. What i\\\'m saying is if these calls had cost the Steelers from winning, I bet most Steeler fans would be saying let the players play and all that other crap just like Skip Bayless is saying in defense of the Seahawks. I was a neutral fan on the game but I feel that some consistency needs to happen with the refs. I realize that\\\'s not the Steelers fault but I was trying to put it into a different point of view. I also was not implying that the refs were trying to make these calls because they wanted to see the Steelers win. I agree that the holding penalty was called before the catch and that the flag was or was being attempted to be thrown before Hope complained.

jungle- i played ridge soccer, i know how to play the refs blew the game card... it doesn't help one way or the other, and when you start getting upset over calls that are being made and let the refs know about it, they call even more on you. Mike Holgram shot himself in the foot yelling at the refs before halftime, it never helps your team.

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.
Re: Still no respect!
Its funny how a writer from Boston and a huge Patriots fan like Michael Smith can complain about bad refs and teams getting ripped off, considering that the Patriots Dynasty is based on bad refs and teams getting ripped off. The tuck rule still remains the worst call in the history of professional sports and was clearly a call to benefit the Patriots. Also, when a coaching staff and players all admit that they held the opposing teams recievers all day and kept doing it because the refs wouldn't call a penelty, clearly something is wrong and these calls/non-calls were in huge important games. There is a difference between borderline close calls, which were corret, like the ones in the Super Bowl and obvious bad calls. The Patriots have strived on this stuff for four years now.
On a side note congradulations Steelers and Great win! It is awesome for the new generation of Steeler fans, like myself, to finally experience a Championship. Lets do a repeat shall we!

Re: Still no respect!
no matter what seahawks fans say about some of the questionable calls its over now lets worry about the offseason. randle el and chris hope have no contracts. we need to worry about who is still gonna be here next season. maybe none?
