Comcast cable television had an agreement with the W.P.I.A.L. to show all eight boys’ and girls’ basketball championship games on tape delay. It will be interesting to see what Comcast does now that the championships won’t be played at the same site.
Three championships will be Friday, March 3rd at Duquesne University’s Palumbo Center. Five will be played Saturday, March 4th at Pitt’s Petersen Events Center.
This will make production challenging for Comcast. There might not be enough time to cover the Friday games and get the production truck and crew ready to do Saturday’s games. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
