Conemaugh Valley #1 Seed????????
Conemaugh Valley #1 Seed????????
Someone explain the criteria for seeding. How can CV with 3 losses be seeded #1 and Blairs with two losses and the number one ranked team in the state be seeded #2. It doesn't make sense.

The district uses a point system to determine seeding. The system goes as follows....
Win = 4 points
Loss = 0 points
Defeat a Class A school: 1 bonus point
AA school: 2 bonus points
AAA school: 3 bonus points
AAAA school: 4 bonus points.
Defeat a team with at least a .700 winning percentage, 2 additional bonus points.
All games up to and including February 7th are factored in.
None of this matters! Blairsville will every game in District 6 by no less than 20 points.
