Highberger:State History

Post by TBone »

According to the Indiana paper if (when) Adam scores 12 points tonight he will be the only one in PA history to throw for more than 4,000 yards and score 2,000 points. Congratulations to a great kid.

Guys. I would like to continue this. I am not as familier with LH Sports history as many on this board so I would like to know if we can list other local HS accomplishments that rank up with Highberger's.

Sam Pollino, of Conemaugh Valley Has Eclipsed the 2,000 pt mark along with 1,000 rebounds, in her high school career... I am pretty sure I saw her name in records with volleyball im not sure... maybe not as big as highbergers but definately a huge accomplishment

That is outstanding! but I must admit I though the young man from Sto Rox about 2 years ago had the same accomplishment? regardless that is quite the feat! Honest I am not a BC basher but I really wished for him and this group of blairsville athletes that BC was not the powerhouse they have been so that they could have made it to Altoona at least once...They might see my Duquesne Dukes this year in the states, that would be fun to watch!

I understand that Pitt-Johnstown has offered Adam Highberger a scholarship as well as McCort's Pete O'Connor. Both outstanding players!
