Does anybody have any info on how the Berlin teams did today vs. Shade and Southern Fulton at Southern Fulton? Jolly Green...I have a feeling you could help me out :-)

In the dual meet with Shade:

Berlin Boys won 127 - 23
Berlin Girls won 82 1/2 - 67 1/2

The Shade girls were very prepared and highly motivated. The issue was in doubt right up to the last few events. As another spectator commented, "It was a great track meet to watch."

In the overalll quad meet with Southern Fulton, Tussey Mt., and Shade both the Berlin Boys and Girls won, but I don't have the scores. The girls score wasn't as close as the dual meet.

Wow...kind of scary but also rather exciting at the same time. At least the unbeaten streak lives on!

Chambersburg paper covers Southern Fulton sports. Meet results, only lists event winners....

I was wondering the same thing. Even Megan Lamens isn't in there. Perhaps each of them just had bad days. At least they should get those out of the way early in the year.

Overall, the Berlin girls had a little bit of "bad day" and quite a bit of flu, but mostly it was the Shade girls great performances that made the meet close.

Being a graduate of Chestnut Ridge, I'd like to wish them the best of luck. I'd also like to have the scores (especially with Bellwood and Bedford later this week) and some of the times and distances of the top guys in each event. And really, we should probably do that with Bedford, Berlin, Everett, Northern Bedford, and a few others.

Also, I'd like to wish Ridge the best of luck in all of their meets this season, and to encourage them to go out and do the best they can in each and every event, and to go for personal bests and certain times and distances, rather than necessarily trying to beat certain opponents. In other words, concentrate on your event and doing what you can do, without worrying about your foe. Getting psyched out by Bedford recently has hurt the team (especially two meets my junior and senior year in the regular season that I would like to forget about) in meets against them, and the best way to beat that is to worry about yourself, and not who you are going against.
