Yeah, it really was the offensive line. Do your homework, dude, they lost like 3 starters and were playing young kids.

Those HS rankings are just "how much potential does he have to succeed". Rhett Bomar is a very good quarterback who came out of HS and immediately started at a program with as much clout as Oklahoma. He should not have been the starter last year, that other kid either flopped or got hurt. I dont know why you expect all these QBs to run around like Vince Young, but I hate to break it to you, UT had a pretty good offensive line, receivers that had to be respected, and RBs that had to be respected. UT was able to spread people out, which gave Young more room to do his thing. OU didn't even have 1 receiver that needed to be respected, and Peterson was smashed up.

You guys have to remember that OU is still OU, Miami is still Miami, FSU is still FSU. They have the players to get it done, every season. Just because they have one bad year doesn't mean their recruiting goes down. And I believe the big upset I was banking on in the bowls was OU over an Oregon team everyone wanted in a BCS game. OU is still OU.

I like Peyton too. Always have, but my opinion of him, when drafted, went way down, when he pulled the prima-donna hissy fit when the X drafted him and he refused to play in X, so the X traded him.. Texas does have good talented depth at RB. What about that Charles kid? HE COULD be the real deal. A great RB takes pressure off the QB and makes a soso QB look great.

peyton never got drafted by the chargers, that was eli... charles is the real deal.. when he's healthy, they also have selvin young there too, but yeah the real question is QB... snead and mccoy could be good and play to their potential or they could be the second coming of chris rix, the former florida state qb who has worlds of potential and was supposed to be a star...

I said OU would beat Oregon, too. So you're not the only one that thought that, God of Football, TAE. OU is a tough and talented team, but i'm going to tell you something right now, and don't forget this, RHETT BOMAR IS NOT THE ANSWER. Oregon doesn't have the defense that Texas had and has now. You'll see.

how could texas's defense still be great with huff, harris, wright and all those guys gone... and remember this, there might be a few teams that i don't know of, but of all the national champion teams i know, none of them has had a freshman quarterback start...

It's a whole different game from HS to college, I thought you already understood that. Give the kid a chance, his line was new and he had no targets. Maybe he'll flop all year. Who cares. I dont like OU anyways.

You know how Galen Hall went down to Texas last year and got hints how to run his offense. Maybe the Texas coaching staff can come up to Penn State and learn how to handle incorrigible kids. Since PSU has had their share of troublemakers recently, who better to ask than the experts? They can learn 1) how to delay immediate punishment 2) how to make that punishment look severe to the media and 3) when to bring these players back into the line-up just at the right time when the team needs them the most. It's a real science in State College
