You're right Gunner, that showed the depth of the Bison team. Should be fun to watch next week and see how they do down at states. I wonder which relay stands the best chance of medaling?

Depending on what alternates they send, I say the 4x1 has the best chance at states.

Will John run the 4x100 with him standing a better chance of medaling in the jumping. I don't think I would run him. He didn't look 100% on Wednesday. I would say his best chance of medaling is in either jumps.

Well ok, heres my view on all of this. Lonewolf, u are entirely wrong on the depth part of ur argument. Depth is shown in a dual meet format not at districts. Did u notice that ridge won in the duel meet, huh, wonder why that is. Maybe it is becuase of all the good sophomores and freshman that ridge has. I say that there is no way that John is gonna place in the long jump and the triple jump will be a stretch considering that he didnt jump his 45 footer until his last jump of the finals. It will take a lot more than his measly 42 foot to make it to finals at states. I can guarantee that especially now that the phily schools have come in to play finally. None of the relays will place because of all the recruiting schools across pennsylvania. By the way, this recruiting stuff and bein in AA is total and complete bull$#**. Thats for sure. O yea, and this is for all u bedford fans out there. I hope ur happy with ur five district titles cause its all down hill from here. As the Blink-182 song goes. haha. Hope u enjoyed it cause Ridge is takin over next year.

young gun, you sound bitter.

Depth is having enough guys good enough to win all 3 relays, Having 3 throwers place in the discus, and 2 in the shot, taking 1,2,3 in the hundred. That is what depth is about.

Ridge had depth but nothing great other than Way and Young.

As for Philly schools, most are triple A so there won't be that much of an impact.

As for freshmen, Ridge has three. The sophmores are going to be great. I'll agree with that.

Next year will all depend on how hard you guys work. Last year was supposed to be the last great Bedford year with them graduating like 10 guys that contributed. Bedford will be there again next year. It all depends on who works harder to get ready.

Bryce shut up.. ridge lost and you didnt even score a point with your measley 39 foot jump.. john has medaled the past 3 years i dont think he needs your opinion so keep your mouth shut until you can put some points on the score sheet

Young Gun, your comments about next year have a familiar ring. Remember back in March when you chastised me for predicting that Bedord would win the District title. You said that Ridge would "blow Bedford out of the water" and would win the district meet "fairly easily."

Oops!!! Your assessment was clearly flawed.

I would think that you would learn from this humiliating experience, and think twice before you start making predictions that are, in essence, a disparagement of every other team in District 5.

Anyone can make a mistake. A wise man learns from a mistake, and corrects the problem. An unwise man continues to make the same mistake, and yet still expects a different outcome.
If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.

I love how he tries to belittle John with his "measly 42 feet" comment and then Track101 comes in and slams him by announcing his whopping 39 foot achievement. That is great.

Also I'm a bit confused here, you say John only got 45 feet on his last attempt, is that not why they get 3 attempts? and at states they have prelims and finals. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but if a person A jumps 44-3, 42-11, and 43-8 and person B jumps 37-2, 32-11, and 44-4. Person B would win correct? WHO GIVES A FLYING FUDGE IF HE JUMPED 42 TWICE, THAT 45 FOOTER WAS BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSES, HENCE HE IS THE WINNER!!!!!!! dunduhdaaaaa!!!!!!

John will be just fine im sure there young gun. i dont even think he took all of his prelim jumps at districts. i also believe that he "only" went 43 at districts last year and then went 45 on his first jump at states. he rises to the occasion and is a great jumper. hard to tell in the long. he doenst have as big of a chance there, but still a solid one with a 21 foot jump. a lot of guys usually choke at states and he is used to being there and most likely wont. that already bumps him up some. and yes, they definately won it on depth. ridge just didnt show up. some events were fine, with some great performances, but many just never happened. guess its time to start training for next year now.
