if matt leinart went to psu he would have a degree in ballroom dancing, much better than just taking the class.

It must really really really hurt to see any program who wants to cherry-pick talent out of the WPIAL do so at a 90% success rate.

Bradley, Tressel, Carr, Rodriguez, Weis all get who they want, while Wanny just sits back and howls and cries.

Sukay is next.

Then Wisniewski.

Then Moye.

Then you better call the I-A schools that are high on him and tell them what you know, because a lot of schools like that kid.

It starts already. Moye, a WPIAL kid, gets an offer from Pitt, BC, and PSU. Some signs point that he might be heading to PSU.

spitt spin: even though we offered him a scholarship and he's beyind our glorious wall, we don't really want him.

Poor Wanny. Frosty goes on vacation, and what happens: yet another WPIAL recruit that Wanny wanted ends up going to WVU.

OL Gino Gradkowski verballed to WVU. sPitt wanted him badly.

Scout.com, February 26, 2005: "Carmen Connolly, a freshman receiver at WVU, happens to be Gino's cousin. He is actively recruiting him and hopes to see him in a WVU uniform someday". What can you say? His first cousin is a Mountaineer, and Gino's folks are still miffed at Pitt because they showed NO interest in brother Bruce who was last years starting quarterback at Toledo. Sure Pitt would have liked him, but the edge went to WVU for, I guess, the reasons I just gave. Blood is thicker than water, just ask Nathan Stupar.

If it was such general knowledge that his parents absolutely hate, loathe, and despise PItt, then why did they offer him a scholarship? Why did Wanny put the full court press if it was such a lost cause to begin with.... just like he has done with...

Sukay,,

Wisiniewski... et al....

Who said it was a lost cause? The edge for WVU, in my book, was his cousin on the team AND the snub of brother Bruce. What's the big deal? At least he had Pitt in his top 2. An edge is an edge. Maybe if his girlfriend was going to Pitt, THAT could have been an edge for Pitt. Who knows? Hope Sukay likes defense. If he goes to PSU they already have 13 underclassmen as receivers on their roster, with Ditto coming aboard. Wisniewski is another blood is thicker than water situation.

Plus the snub of brother Bruce came under Walt Harris, not under Wannstadt. So it wasn't a lost cause. It was worth a try. But you know how parents are. Just ask Hazelton's daddy, or Mr. Morelli. They'll tell you.
