Imagine what she has to say about Nick Berg's father. I mean, Zarqawi cut off Nick Berg's head and put it on television, and Berg's father comes out saying that the killing of Zarqawi is not a good thing.

I can't wait to hear her response to that.

Hey, Michael Moore doesn't beat around the bush either, does that mean you respect him as well? Seriously, you can't be ok with her comment, "'I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much." That has to be one of the most mean-spirited, hateful things that I've heard a public figure not just say, but try to DEFEND! Apparently there is no compassion in her version of onservativism.

One simple question....do you think that remark was appropriate?

Amazing how liberals react to a statement in which they feel is harsh. I think liberals believe they can say anything they want regardless how harsh it is and in turn not be questioned for speaking it. Let a conservative saying something harsh and hear the liberals cry foul.

LP, I did not say you tried to defend to her. Ann Coulter was defending her own quotes on the Today show. Usually when someone says something that stupid they try to tone it down and it take it back a bit, but not Ann. I'm sorry for not clarifying who was defending the statement.

Goodwill, it's OK to cry foul if a foul is actually committed. Should she be given a free pass over such a statement? Do you think her statement was appropriate and should be ignored? By the way, I only saw this story aired on one station...(I think it was MSNBC). It's hardly been splashed all over the airwaves.

The thing that ticks conservatives off is simple. Let a conservative say something like this and everyone's up in arms about it. Let a liberal say it and it's free speech.

I'll give you a recent example of the inequity in dealing with conversatives vs. liberals. The Democratic Representative (William Jefferson) is caught taking bribes. I believe he still holding his committee positions. I believe the Black Caucus is speaking out on his behalf. For crying out loud, the FBI taped him taking a 100k bribe and found 90k of it stuffed in his freezer. Now I'll take you back to Tom Delay. The only thing against Delay was accusations from an over-zealous prosecutor looking for re-election.

Now OAR, I believe you came on here calling for Delay's head (if it wasn't you I apologize) before any trial. Do you also call for Jefferson to resign?

This Jefferson clown gets video taped taking a bribe and the response from the Black Caucus: "He deserves the benefit of innocent until proven guilty" and "He should stay in Congress and keep his powerful seat on Ways and Means."

But Tom Delay, and the response: "He is guilty. He did it. 100% certain. He must go now."

THe absolutely hypocrisy of the Democrats when it comes to ethics in the House is amazing. Anyone remember former House SPeaker Jim Wright, who had to resign in the late 1980's because of corruption???? Or how about Dan Rostenkowski, the Chair of the Ways and Means committee who WENT TO PRISON. Or the House bank scandal, etc, etc, etc...all under the watch of the Democratic party for 50 years....

Sorry to disappoint you LP, but my criticism was of the Republicans changing the rules so that Delay could keep his seat if he was indicted. I don't doubt you guys are right about the Democrats in their view of Delay/Jefferson. However, the Republicans are guilty of the exact same thing. They cry that Delay is innocent until he is proven guilty in the court of law. Now Jefferson is guilty before he has his day in court.
