Grow up, Limeys!!!

Post by The Ancient Enemy »

You think we're bad on here with college football opinions? Looks like the word "vicarious" has some pretty deep roots in jolly old England. No matter how passionate I am, I never wanted to kill Mario Manningham for catching that pass in the endzone against Penn State. I don't know anybody who boycotted the whole state of Utah when they beat Pitt. In addition to having bad teeth and terrible looking women, now these jackasses in England have taken it to a whole new level of being a crybaby.

It's not like they got screwed. They had the whole game (soccer games take about 57 hours to complete, you can go to work, eat supper, take your kid t tee-ball, come home, sleep, go to work again, come home, eat, go to a movie, and then go to bed again, all to wake up and turn on ESPN to see the soccer game is halfway over and there is no score yet) to score points and didn't do it. Look at the distraught on the faces of those blokes in that picture. Oh God I am so upset that we lost a GAME!!! "Its more than just a game", no it isn't! "Wow, man, we won the World Cup... and I still make 8 bucks an hour... kids are still starving in Africa... Jesus still isn't here yet... Domonkos still isn't kicking for Wisconsin... Corey Isenberg is still biased... Pizza Hut is still too expensive... Tommy Chunta still doesn't have another year of high school eligibility... Johnstown Police are still swimming in the fountain." Give me a break!!! Oh God how can I ever go on with my life? So much would have changed if only we would have won that game! Boo hoo to David Beckham! Should have ran faster!!!!

Soccer may be just a game, but explain why the Ivory Coast ceased a civil war simply becuase they qualified for the world cup?

Because there's 15 people in the Ivory Coast and they are all on the soccer team.

TAE, you are a moron! Have you ever been to England? Do you know any English people? One of the most amazing experiences is being in London when their national team is playing. It is similar in other countries. I think college football is a good comparison, except that not everyone in America cheers for the same team. We don't really get behind our national teams in any sport (except maybe women's gymnastics).

As for the Ivory Coast, I bet you couldn't find it on a map or even point to a general area. This is just further proof of my initial statement.

You're right, Wildcat, you should boycott traveling to a country who beat you in a soccer game. Once again, did England get screwed, or was the game fair? Please pee in your Depends some more over this, for England, a country you aren't even a citizen of.

I knew where the Ivory Coast was when you were begging mommy for 5 bucks to buy acne medication.

Do you believe everything you see on a silly t.v. commercial? or do you realize that they are currently engaged in violence as we speak? if soccer is such a game of peace and harmony than why did that bald french dude go psyco and head(chest)butt that guy? soccer is for crazy people and it causes a massive amount of frustration build up and it should be banned on the planet so that the nations can once and for all be unified!!

RELIGION does not cause WARS.... SOCCER causes WARS!!!!!
ban soccer today for world peace!!!!

TAE, I am sure that the English boycott of Portugal will not last. So what if they are upset now? They thought they had a shot at winning and the Portugese team is annoying to the English because they dive alot and the English players don't really dive. Yes, Portugal won fair and square, but our fans piss and moan over bad calls too. I think Penn State fans are famous for this. I am glad to hear that you are educated enough to find the Ivory Coast on a map. Have you ever been anywhere but the USA? You seem to speak quite definitively about other countries. I am guessing that the farthest you have been is to Canada to see the falls.

D-nice, you are a bigger moron than TAE. By your logic, the USA, Iraq, Israel and North Korea would be big soccer countries because soccer starts wars. But you are right! Brazil, Argentina, France and Italy are some of the most warlike nations out there. He did not say the civil war in Ivory Coast stopped. He said it was a cease fire. I cannot defend Zidane's head butt and agree that was psycho.

This just in: If you fly to Croatia you are an expert on Croatia.

At the end of the day, what changes if your country wins the World Cup? I didn't know that the minimum wage in Italy was raised 3 bucks because they won the World Cup. It's just a game. You don't get so upset you boycott a country for it. That's crybaby nonsense. Especially when there is no controvery. They lost because they didn't score enough goals to win the game. No bad calls here, Wildcat. And if we've learned anything from the World Cup, taking dives is legal and is not against the rules. It is only "unfair" when it is against the rules. Ginobli does the same stuff in the NBA. Is it irritating, yes, against the rules definitely not.

The next time you're in England hanging out with the soccer team, tell them that. Then tell them to brush their teeth once in awhile.

Hey " farmer wildcat" YOU are a bigger moron than I AM if you do not realize my comments were tongue in cheek. I do not actually believe soccer causes wars. I realize that a nation cannot defend itself with headbutts and staged falls!
