It seems like both France and Italy are playing above the expectations people had for them, pre World Cup. I think Germany will probably win it, but all of these teams still left all have a good shot, IMO.

i'll say germany vs. france in the finals, at first germany kicks france's butt, but in the second half, USA comes to france's aid as france, USA and Englad all team up against the germans!!! lol, just kidding, i think germany is gonna win it all when they beat portugal in the finals. It'd be a nice story line for Zidane (spelling?) from france if the french took the title. i think it's gonna come down to keepers the rest of the tourny, whether it means making the big save in the game or winning the game in PK's. and right now it looks like lehman and ricardo from germany and portugal respectively have some momentum behind them as they both are coming off of huge wins in PK's.

You know what is awesome... the trading of the jersey's at the end of a game. I wish the Seahags had done something like that with Pittsburgh instead of crying so much that there is now a 4th river in the Burgh. Honestly though, it is pretty sweet seeing these guys trade with each other after the game and then put it on.

haha. I'm sitting here thinking how much i HATE the world cup. it takes the tradition and honor out of the game, theres too much politics and too many fair weather fans. You want to get into football then spring the $350.00 for the Barclays EPL package on PPV. Over 300 games from Englands top league. anyway, its good to see Zizou guiding les blues to the finals in his farewell tour.

ps. Now that Lance is retired, does anyone even know that the Tour de France is going on right now?

I think the first team to score a goal wins...would make it a lot more exciting.

oh gunner... not al of us are "fair weather fans" there are some of us that do watch the EPL, Serie A, Bundesliga, la liga, and who knows every once in a while the J league. I do agree with you though about Zidane having a nice fairwell tour as i mentioned earlier. I'm rooting for the french. It was kinda funny one of my friends said that since the USA tied the Italians and the Italians made it to the finals, then USA could have done it. It made me laugh.

btw, yeah the tour de france is going on. some belgian guy is winning it isn't he? and the closest American is in like 3rd or 4th place, only a few seconds back.

Gunner, I've actually heard the opposite from a lot of people on the World Cup. Many of them believe that the WC is so much better than club soccer. I love the pageantry of it all.
