Re: Big Ten News
John Sacca left Penn State and did well at Western Kentucky. No one cared. Unlike other people I know, I did not pledge undying hatred for the kid as many have for a former Panther QB that already won a conference championship.

No, it's not a lie, but you obviously from your suggestion of "something changed their minds" certainly suggested it was something about the PSU program, or on-field issues. Players lose their scholarships because of injuries, personal reasons, or because they commit murder.
No.
Yes, but I would say playing D1 football in the Big Ten is a bit harder than working in a meat packing plant in the 21st century.
No.
Can't say for sure, no one on that list said PSU did not live up to their expectations.
Can't say for sure. I have zero idea what the coaches say, other than that JoePa has told recent classes he will be there for their entire eligibilty.
Edit: Ditto what TAE said. Scroll back 50000+ plus pages on any PSU site and see how many PSU fans burn those guys who transfered out of PSU at the stake. Yet sPitt fans still wish a bus accident on Morelli, Getsy, etc...

Some Random nitty thoughts:

2 very different scenarios...Pitt certainly wanted to keep LG, all schools would love 2 competent qbs...and yes some pitt fans were bitter but I wished him well & figured the kid could start elsewhere, which has obviously been evidenced! Moronelli is a totally different scenario and my personal take on his flip/flop is that it was character revealing!! And I will not be surprised if he struggles when faced with adversity.
In other developments, coach Bradley was in town & several BM related people aided him in a fundraising effort. Vman asked TB about any surprises in relationship to personnel, new starters, freshmen etc...
Without hesitation the d-coordinator said Chris Bell has been so impressive in so many ways that he does not see how the offensive coaches can keep him off the field...so frosty, that may answer your question about the receiver position!

Re: Big Ten News
So basically you met him and did not act like a real man and tell him to his face how bad you think he sucks, instead you cowered like a peasant in the face of a true king like Tom Bradley. Who has character issues, again?

Re: Big Ten News
First of all, TB is well aware that I am a Panther fan & never liked UPS or Joe Pa....some people have class enough to help an olde acquaintance for a worthy cause & intelligently discuss Pitt, Penn St., ND, etc... others take shots @ peoples' character without knowing what the H3!! they are talking about (but of course we'll mention no names)!
Cower??? RIGHT!

Re: Big Ten News
Funny how one word can change the whole conotation of things, isn't it. After I said that 22 Penn State football players on scholarship since 2001 have dropped off the PSU roster, frostlion comes back with "players LOSE their scholarships because if injuries, personal reasons, or because they commit murder". Now everyone please notice that little word "LOSE". What's funny is, most of those PSUer's no longer on scholarship DID NOT LOSE their scholarships. They chose to GIVE THEM UP, as in change their mind!!!! "LOSE" leads everyone to think that they did something to have their scholarship taken away from them. Most of these guys GAVE THEM UP. Again, as in CHANGE THEIR MIND about playing for Paterno and the Nittany Lions. And getting back to injuries for a minute. Are you telling me that if a PSU football player gets hurt while playing football at Penn State, THEY TAKE HIS SCHOLARSHIP AWAY?????????

Are you drunk when you write this nonsense?
No one ever stated that PSU takes away scholarships when someone gets hurt, in fact, the usual practice is to keep them on scholarship as assistants, ala Adam Taliferio. Some, however, opt, for whatever reasons, to decline their scholarships after sustaining career ending injuries.
Lose: To cause or result in the loss of.
The key word being "OR".
In most of these cases, becaues of academics, violating team rules, personal reasons, injuries, etc, the end result was loss of scholarship.
Funny thing is, I checked to see how many Pitt players lost their scholarships and couldn't find anything. I guess no one really cares to keep track of stuff like that for Pitt.

Re: Big Ten News
Find out for us why the other 20 football players I mentioned are NO LONGER on scholarship, since they did not CAUSE themselves to have their scholarships TAKEN AWAY.

What does it matter. Penn State is still having hellish recruiting classes come in and they just came off one of the best seasons in a long long time because of seniors who STUCK IT OUT through the PROGRAM'S thin times. Talk about PSU all you want and how badly you want the program to go under, it's never going to happen.
