The ICC is hard to predict - Ridge definitely shouldn't be considered a part of it - the rest of the schools are Single A schools and are competitive with each other. NBC lost many starters but hard to say how much playing time their bench got last week - they are always contenders. CKHS lost a load of starters but the Coach (basically the best coach in the league) is amazing at placing kids in the right spots and making the most of what he has to work with. Rumor has it, the weakest position is the quarterback position but it's hard to replace someone who worked to be in the position like Doroba did. Can't wait for kickoff on 9/1/06!

As is Penns Valley, that's why they're all in the "Nittany" division where the competition is suppose to be, and usually is, tougher. Ridge should attempt to get into the MAC Nittany too. They already play Penns Valley, Bishop Guilfoyle and Bellwood-Antis through their affiliation with the ICC Nittany. Picking up games against the likes of Tyrone, Bald Eagle Area and Philipsburg-Osceola would further prepare them for the playoffs.
NITTANY:
I think Bellwood-Antis is the odds on favorite to take the Nittany Division. They play solid football up in Bellwood and they're consistantly winners. Bellwood has went 37-10 overall and 17-1 in divisional play since 2001, when the current divisional format was adopted. Their only lose came at the hands of Bishop Guilfoyle during their subpar 5-5 campaign in 2003. Chestnut Ridge has a huge hurdle to climb in that of Bellwood, especially when they have to travel to Bellwood this season. Bishop Guilfoyle and Penns Valley are up and down teams. Guilfoyle usually fields a good squad, standard for anybody with "Bishop" in their name. However, sometimes they field just an average team that wins their share of games against the likes of Mount Union, Penns Valley, West Branch, Everett, etc. Penns Valley has been known to field an awesome team one year and a dud the next. Mount Union will begin to become competitive, but we won't get back onto the right track this year and our change of schedule next year should help out tremendously. I'm not sure what teams are bringing to the table this year, but if history holds true, I think my predicition will hold true. Good luck to everyone this year though.
