Scoring happened when it counted!! A very exciting game, nerve racking, sloppy at times...but the weather was bad and it is week #1. It is a win, maybe not the prettiest...but nonetheless a WIN!! Congrats to the Bisons...Channel 6 TEAM OF THE WEEK!!

looks like another perfect regular season for Bedford.......
followed by a first round playoff loss most likely to mcCort.

Congrats to a tough, gritty Bedford squad!

Borrowing a line from Penguin announcer Mike Lange: If you missed this one shame on you for 6 months!

Hard to recap and as someone noted earlier, you cannot say anything about BM turnovers 'cause obviously both teams played in same conditions. Best way to relate end of game is to say that each team 'had' victory & defeat apparently firmly within grasp only to see outcome flipped....several times!

Once more congratulations Bisons & BM has little time to reflect , no time to sulk....suck it up & on to Sidman next week! I think it good they have a big game to focus upon.
I have to say thank you to me ..." for not being stupid enough to go to Penn State."

I wasn't there but it sounded like the Barbin kid from BM had a great game. For Bedford Jaber played very well on defense.

well to answer fairweather....

bm offense looked good at times and very bad at times....the players expected to show up did (barbin lewis and seidel) for mccort and for bedford...well i only remember one name and that was 'feaster'...on a kickoff and game tieing td?....

i think either way u slice this game it is learning experience....just bedford got the win for it

now for 2 side notes...

1) i think the point stadium is an awful place for a football game...eventho u can see the whole field....it seems too far away from the action

2) its nice seeing the young domokos kid hit a big field goal in the game...altho he barely missed one later one...it was nice seein him step up as a freshman

Doesn't look like like too many bad decisions on the qb's part hurt the team last night, (22,) but remember the Bedford team played just like that , A Team. They never gave up and the comradery was amazing. It was one of the best HS games I have seen in a long time. congrats to the coaches, the players and the fans(parents, girlfriends and grandparents) who stayed .Big time players make big time plays, that goes for the whole Bedford Team.

Forgas and Clapper both made great plays on defense, both intercepting passes in big situations. Clappers pick, I still don't know how he came down with that ball...

Westwood made one heck of a read on the first Bedford touchdown of the game. The pull was definately the right call as he waltzed into the endzone. And the composure he had to stand in and throw the 22 yard TD pass in the 2nd overtime after being sacked for 5 and 7 yards on first and second down respectively. He delivered a great pump which drew the CB in and left Forgas wide open for the score.

Overall, the Bison Defense played exceptionally well, except for getting sloppy on their tackles before the half, and giving up one big pass play that set up the game tying field goal. They bent, but didn't break last night, and they can only get better from tonight.

McCort has a lot of offensive firepower, and they should be a 8 or even 9 win team. But starting off with Bedford, @ Forest Hills, Somerset and Bishop Carrol, a 1-3 start isn't totally out of the question here. They'll need to rebound quickly and get ready to stop the highpowered Rangers...
