TEAM OF THE WEEK--BEDFORD BISONS
Re: TEAM OF THE WEEK--BEDFORD BISONS
Was Troy Harris a one man team his senior year? Bedford had enough returning that NO ONE expected them to lose in last year's season opener. Now before coach has a conniption, no one said that Bedford did not deserve their win Friday night. Most of you know how I feel about McCort, but this Team of the Week thing? Last night, Central just about beat BC, taking the Huskies into overtime before losing by one on BC's home field. Is anyone doubting that THIS would have been a bigger upset than Bedford over BM? Yet if the Scarlet Dragons would have pulled it out, they would NOT have been Team of the Week because they played on Saturday. The whole concept is a joke. And that's the way it is, coach.

Holy crap..Friday night team of the week then. They just have fun with it on the TYPICAL hs football night each week. They don't do as much on Saturday's hs wise since college football dominates that day.

Re: TEAM OF THE WEEK--BEDFORD BISONS
I think I might be sorry I started this post. It was not my intention to get El Moldo all riled up!!! And actually, the news reporter did mention Bedford getting a plaque for The Team of the Week, which probably should have remained unmentioned, for fear of someone have a stroke or massive heart failure. All is good fun, once again it was an exciting game, and I am partial to Bedford...sorry!
I think Moldo should petition all the local news stations to hold off thier awards for the week until all the games across the nation are completed.
Infact, I think you should take it one step farther. Tell ESPN that they need to wait until all the games for the night are done, including the late Pac-10 games that run past midnight here on the east coast before the show the "Top 10 Plays of the Day", since, afterall, they started on the same day that SportsCenter is highlighting!
Get a grip dude. It'll be O.K. Maybe your Rangers will be the team of the week some time soon, and you better hope that they don't earn that title on a Friday night...

The "Top 10 plays of the day" are exactly that, the best 10 plays on a certain day. Comprende? The "Top 10 plays of the week" is a whole different thing. Should the NFL give out player of the week honors on Sunday? Or should they wait til Monday Night football is over?

Maybe Saturdays game will be the game of the week for next week? maybe instead of going monday-sunday or sunday-saturday their weeks go saturday-friday. therefore since FH didnt play "last" week, then they couldnt be eligible for team of the week, who knows maybe the westy game will be the game of the week for Sept.9th
STRAIGHT
Re: TEAM OF THE WEEK--BEDFORD BISONS
Who said ANYTHING about FH being Team of the Week? Without getting into alot of Biblical stuff, most everybody would consider Sunday to be the day of rest, or the end of the week. So Saturday games would be considered with the Friday games of that weekend.
