Pitt vs. UCF

Post by Boilerman »

Pitt and UCF battle Friday night on ESPN. Pitt looking to become bowl eligible, already a step up after last year, and for UCF, George O'Leary looking for another win for his resume........

Again, the key to Pitt continuing to play well will be the play on both offensive and defensive lines. Hopefully they will continue to improve on Friday night.

Boiler Up!
Boiler OUT!

Boiler you are right and as with any game the lines hold the key esp. when you factor in pitt's youth.....but for like the 3rd week in row I must point out that T. Palko should be & has been the difference in most games this yr.!

Now I don't look up stats but I believe he lead the nation in qb rating or efficiency going into Sry. game & must continue doing so.....he has been huge & is leading this team as a 5th yr. senior!

And how could one not root for LaRod? Even on the pitt boards there have been a lot of doubters & critics.....the kid has produced when given opportunity & healthy! His performance Sat speaks for itself....I told people last yr that he could/should be used like Johnny Rodgers from nebraska &/or the rocket from ND (for those of you a bit older) but he is a terrific kick returner and a spectacular threat as a receiver...and as others are finding out: he can run the ball pretty well also!!

All in all no trap game here this yr...Pitt in a tough one.

Pitt may look ahead a little towards Rutgers but still should win by 2-3 scores

LaRod finally stepped up last week in a big way for the Panthers. They may need 100 yards out of him again this week to win. Palko has been looking like a really good quarterback this season. I'll take Pitt by 10.

LaRod 100% healthy is a scary though for opposing defenses........breaking the 2 big runs of 40 and 70 yards shows why he is a game changer and can score from anywhere on the field

Pitt claims that they are not looking ahead and are ready to play so we'll see

Pitt's 3rd team could beat UCF this season.

TAE....don't set us up for the fall. I see your game.

In all honesty, if Pitt wants respect, they have to go down there and take care of business. There is the potential to look ahead to the matchup with undefeated Rutgers on national television. But the Panthers have great leadership starting with Tyler Palko.

Pitt 34
UCF 13

Pitt needs this game because the mojority of out of state players come from Florida and this should help some recruits see Pitt play

Tyler Palko throws for 3 TD's
Larod adds one on the ground
Revis finally takes one in on a punt

38-14 Pitt

No game here, Hilltop. UCF is terrible. No chance of looking ahead, either. Pitt'll win this easily.
