Since my first post was deleted I'll try again. When are the powers to be in Somerset County going to wake up and allow Fannett-Metal to host a playoff game just like EVERY other team is allowed to do in the district. It seems only fair to the players, school and fans that if they finish in the top four, they too should be allowed to host a playoff game. F-M is right off the PA turnpike so the travel distance excuse doesn't work anymore. This ridiculous rule needs to be changed and should be changed.

Geographically they are not a District V school(Bedford, Fulton and Somerset counties), As far as fitting with the District, they are a great fit and a great addition. To "make up" for the fact a school out of the counties is voted in, the concession of not hosting sometimes was made and agreed upon.

I dont think anyone needs to wake up "hardball21". Fannett-Metal wanted to be in District 5 and that was the rule that was agreed upon. End of story!

And is JCS a District V school? Bedford and Fulton County schools have granted permission for F-M to host a game and they were a part of the original agreement, so why not Somerset schools as well?

No they are not in District 5 but they are in Somerset County. Bedford and Fulton are also a lot closer drive then any Somerset County school. I do agree with you "hardball" its not fair that Fannett-Metal doesnt get to host a playoff game but thats the rule. If they didnt like it they shouldnt have joined District 5.

Geographically Johnstown Christian is indeed District 5 , they are located in Somerset County which means they are in District 5.
They are in the district and are single a which means they can host a playoff match.
I do agree that the rule that was agreed to a while back is stupid and unfair and should be changed , but until then if Fannett-Metal is a higher seed they must go by the rules.
Only, in this district though does one counties schools get their way on things , and that is Somerset, you notice the other counties didnt have a problem with Fannett-Metal hosting , but the schools out that way just have to have things their way.
