W.P.I.A.L. Football Playoff Picture ...

The W.P.I.A.L. playoff field of "64" teams is nearly set with the end of the "2006" regular season coming up on Saturday. While Class still has some postseason question marks, the Class (AAAA), Class (AAA) and Class (AA) playoff picture has been finalized. Here is the latest playoff picture in the W.P.I.A.L. through Saturday afternoon with an eye toward the opening of the 'Highway to Heinz'.

* If North Catholic beats host Bishop Canevin (2-3) on Saturday night, South Side Beaver (2-4) will clinch over Bishop Canevin and Western Beaver (2-4) because of Gardner Points
* If Bishop Canevin beats North Catholic, Bishop Canevin clinches and South Side Beaver is out
