Windber vs North Star
Coach Schmitt does a much better job coaching his student athletes better the DeMarco. NS has less talent, speed and tradition. Schmitt is a better coach. I know W beat NS this year.
Hear me out:
Windber had a week off. Not going to be sharp.
Windber will look ahead to a rematch with Meyersdale
I've heard some Windber players are not going out next year b/c of all of the DeMarcos. Including young Phillip and Mrs. Coach
NS has a good history vs W in the playoffs. 2004 NS-6 W-0 in OT
But ,NS has its best player kickedout of the Tussey game, not playing vs W
DeMarco does not call Defense or Offense. Maybe thats good for W
Hey Windber, its not going to be easy. I'll take NS in a close one.

Heard you out. Doubt it.
Schmitt may be a good coach but I would not compare him with DeMarco and I would definitely not say he is better than DeMarco. I assume that you have played Windber in high school football or at least watched them? Windber does not have the best athletes in the westpac every year, sometimes not even close. But they are disciplined. They don't make mistakes. They are coached very well, or else they would not consistantly thump the entire conference year in and year out. In a close matchup, Windber is always the safe bet.

Funny.
Comments about the coaches aside, I look for this to be a good game. After all, both teams, in my opinion, have equal chances at winning/losing this game. Windber is good, but it's not like they're immortal and North Star has been playing well lately. But, North Star has some key injurys and suspensions (plural) that could hurt them.
Good luck to both teams.

Thanks. :?
The site went down yesterday when I tried to post a response...
Yes, NS is having an excellent year, and their record shows. Windber is not immortal. I finished my career with a winning record against them. They are definitely beatable, but they are tough. They play well as a team and they don't make too many mistakes. NS has been hit with some injuries and suspensions that will definitely hurt them. I can't see a single A team having the depth to replace that many starters without losing something. At least around here.

Re: Windber vs North Star
I wouldn't sing DeMarcos' praises too much. Windber has not won the WESTPAC in 4 years. The Head Coach or his brother ( the 1st assistant) don't even call plays on Offense or Defense. Slatcoff does it all. So when you give credit maybe it should be to the correct person.
BisonLine74 I never said that W has the best talent year after year. I said they have more than NS. They are not immortal, the are good and competitive every year. They don't thump the conference every year. Again they have not won the conference in 4 years.

I am aware that they haven't won the conference in 4 years. NS beat windber in the first round two years ago. I do keep up with westpac football, and i have noticed that windber wins consistantly with or without the most talented team, and are almost always in the hunt. I don't know who calls what for windber and i guess coming out and saying that was wrong. Whoever runs windber's practices is who i was referring to, whether that be Slatcoff, Demarco, or whoever. Either way, good luck to both teams

Re: Windber vs North Star
Well, after Windber's win the second time around against N.S.; This year makes it the 8th team this year that has been shut-out by the Ramblers.
This includes a week #4 contest with N.S. which Windber also won 20 - 0
Not too shabby!! regarless of any out come...

Schmitt was a soccer coach before he became the football coach. Need I say more?
Nice try North Star - I'll keep an eye on you in the basement of the Westpac next year.

Do you know even know what the hell you are talking about? Do you even know who they are losing or what athletes are returning? Any idiot can say what you just said about any team.
